Elenthos made his way towards the guards at the gate and smiled to himself under his cloak, this was his kind of place. Maybe he might find people a bit more like him in this city, and not the weak Light Ones that he found most of the time in other areas. He approached the guards and made sure his face was hidden for now.
"I wish to explore this city and maybe take up on some combat training, and possibly residence" he waited for their reply and took out his visa the hand with his dark blue skin showing easily.

Kial yawned as he approached the gates of Vortex. He was tired and bored after laying low for the God's knew how many cycles he had that damn fever for. He yawned again and pulled his black cloak around himself as a chill went through him.

"I hate this damn place" he mumbled to himself as he gazed at thehigh walls that stood before him. " How the hell is a thief s'posed to make any money in a place like this with necromancers and the God's know what else runs riot around here." He spat at the floor. " I'm jus' glad I'm only here for a few brightingings."

As he got nearer to the gates, he soon saw the two guards asking for the Visa's of everyone who seeked entrance to the city. As he usuall did, the Half Vysstichi thief pulled his out of his pocket in readiness and handed it over to one of the guards to inspect .

"Should only be here for a few nights...... visiting friends."

Elenthos

The vysstichi guard took the visa, surveyed it for a moment and handed it back.

"Enjoy your stay, you will find they're are many of us here brother." He replied with a friendly smile.

Kial

The vysstichi guard naturally appraised the half-vysstichi for what he was, an infection of good blood. A sour look appeared on his face, obviously demonstrating the distaste he felt for the half-breed.

He spent the better part of 5 minutes surveying the visa and looked Kial up and down critically.

"You will find no friends here, take your visa and begone." The guard replied while gazing suspiciously at the half-vysstichi as he walked away.

Ryu

As Ryu attempted to bypass the gates without being seen, he was caught off guard as the blunt end of a quarterstaff took him in the chest and smashed him to the ground.

The wind was knocked out of him, and a tear streaked it's way down the left side of his face.

A rather muscular human guard had been watching him since he'd birthed the horizon... He always seemed to know the one's which would cause trouble.

"What are you doing vysstichi? If you want to enter the city your going to have to show me a visa and tell me what your doing here! If... And I mean if you give me a good reason, I might decide to change my mind about having you beat and sent on your way back to the whore you call mother." He spat venomously at the vysstichi laying on the ground in front of him.

Elenthos nodded and said "Good to know that there are some half decent Vysstichi my friend, Do you know a place where I might find combat training?" he waited patiently, quite eager to get into a city where Vysstichi were at least respected.

Elenthos sighed, clearly this guard was busy so he went into the city this place seemed perfect to settle down. A bit like his home town but not full of 'Drow Polotics' he continued on, eager to find combat training or residence.

The vysstichi nodded and pointed over his shoulder, "The fitness and bones is run by a vysstichi named Markener, he's a good friend of mine, they're you will find all the training you could ever want."

The vysstichi waved him on with a friendly gesture.

OOC: From now on, feel free to self mod your way into the vortex. If you wish to do something special such as bribe, sneak past or kill one or more of the guards, feel free to PM me. Also if you would simply like me to "one-post" your entrance into the vortex, for the simple pleasure of having a wonderful GM like myself modding you, that's alright too.

Be warned: I will continue to keep a vigilant eye on the entrance and if I feel the need, will bring my wrath down upon you, so be realistic and use common sense.

Ryu now wonder why he ever tried such a stupid thing. These people would be looking for such behavior. He stood up and handed the guard his visa and began to say, "I came to shop here, and also to do a little learning." He grabbed his cloak around him because the breeze was blowing it around.

The guard was displeased but let Ryu pass anyways, and told him to watch his back. He took his visa back and proceeded on through the gates.

Ryu

As ryu attempted to stand, the human guard put the blunt end of his staff onto his chest and pushed him back to the ground roughly, "Did I say you could stand vermin!?" he shot venomously.

Ryu retrieved his visa and the guard yanked it out of his hand before he could say a word. The guard overlooked it critically as people passed by, snickering softly at the vysstichi being covered in dust by the wagons entering the city... The guard seemed not to notice, except for the small grin painted on his face.

Throwing the visa back to the vysstichi sitting in the dirt, the guard chuckled lightly and removed his staff from the vysstichi's chest. "Shop eh...? Perhaps you'd consider a bath, you smell as if you've slept with swine..." The guard tweaked an eyebrow and smiled, "You don't sleep with swine I hope...?" He smiled again and continued before Ryu had a chance to respond, "I wouldn't be surprised.." He trailed off.

The guard, gestured towards the gates, "You have a lot of learning to do indeed lad, if you want to survive here, I suggest you don't act like such an idiot, now git out of here... And don't let me catch you attempting to cause mischief again." The guard walked back to his lookout with a strong step. Vysstichi guards above the gates we're chuckling softly at their newly humbled brethren.

42nd of Ioannes; in the Season of Summer, of Era I of the Celestine Mandate

Wearily Allanthios approached the gates of the dark city. It had been nearly two cycles since he had set out from Medonia and traveled across the land on foot. That life seemed far behind him now he remembered little of it. Sill there were times when he was all alone that he could still remember and those memories pained more than any could know. Two cycles was not such a long time, yet Allanthios had changed in his trek across the wilds. He was now closer to what he had been when he had first entered Medonia so long ago. The lonesome march across the wilderness had brought out the darkness that Allanthios had long kept hidden. Love and freindship had been replaced by a raw lust for power, a need to destroy those that had wronged him. It was here in Vortex that Allanthios hoped to find such power. He wished to be schooled in the dark arts, Necromancy an arcane power feared by all and whispered of in the darkness. Allanthios wished to wield such power and fear like none other. He had a ways to go before such a dream could be realized though.

He walked forward and held out his visa for inspection. The guard took the visa looked it over and handed it back without a word. With a nod Allanthios put it away and entered the city gates.

-Finally the time had come, after all that time that horrible mistake it was truly time for her to become what she had desired. It was what her mothered insisted and what her father demanded. To become an Ikos mage to spread malevolance and her racial hatred and want for utter destruction of most everything using fate itself as her tool to inspire fear and suffering.

The human girl was no more then the age of 16, and she was rather young for wanting to take in such a hard rare and exotic practice but if there was a place to do this. Then Vortex was it, where she would not be discriminated against and her wanted disregard for life would be excepted perhaps even appreciated in the midst of the vysstichi and evil humans.

It had all started back 5 years ago when her older brother was bullying her in an open field. He pushed her clean over and she landed butt first on the ground, with an incredible anger she wished he would drop dead. No sooner did she wish this from her twisted and vile heart, he was stricken through the back of the neck from an archery arrow gone astray from its intended target. After explaining this, she was cast out of her family. They loved her brother more then she, and were infuriated with the loss.

But this only fueled her to learn more about the art of chaos theory.

As she entered through the gates she looked on towards her fellow brethren, and went through the gates without so much as a hassle. The only thing they did was check her visa, and then nod gesturing she could continue on fancy free.

It was time, time for a new mage to step forward to put an end to the works and teachings of Ionnas, and she... She Swore to herself, she would crush that dieties name and tarnish its places of worship. She was in favor of evil, and cursed that blasphemous name.-

Through the cold of the night, the lights of the gates were all that were a guide. Hours of walking had brought this person to the gates now, stopping momentarily to listen to the guards, a nod was all that was presented as an Imperial Visa was brought out from within the confines of the heavy dark travel cloak. Hands adorned by gloves held the Visa firm and the cloaked figure softly spoke in a deep voice that held a level tone began to state his business to the guards.

"I am here to return home, I don't suppose that would be a problem would it Sir?... Traveling has tired me I'd like to get to my lodgings...", After stating his business he quietly waited for the guards to finish looking over the Visa, and continued into the City when he was permitted.

Darkening.

Sakura let out a soft sigh as she neared the gates. She'd had a long long way to travel, and since Vortex was on her way home, she'd decided to finaly pay the city a visit.

As she approached the gates it was no surprise to her to see guards, it was a common sight all over the realm. She simply reached for her visa from within her cloak and handed it over to the guards. ''Serale, I'm only passing by. I'm on my way back home and see to rent a room for the night. Maybe look around at some shops and have a warm meal then be on my way home.'' She said calmly.

As the guards returned her visa back she put it away and nodded before making her way through the gates and into the city.

Autumn of Era X, Fifth day of Juntor

Shadow slowly approached the gate, lowering the hood from his Cloak, once a symbol of respect in Zinn... now just a memeorie...

Shadow, produced his visa, as seemed to be the custom of most city gates... check the visa, ask why your here...

Upon arriving at the gates, it seemed that, vortex too, was one of these cities. Handing his visa to the guard, he answered his question in a clear voice... "Im traveling around the empire, seeing what there is, really im just passing though, maybe gather some supplies, and a rest.".

The young katta waitied for the guard to finish looking at his visa. After the visa was returned, shadow entered into the city...
