He'd been to Har'oloth before. But not often enough to become familiar with it. He knew of all the normal places anyone who lived in close proximity to the underground city would have known. Yet he didn't know the back alleys and the hiding places like he did in Vortex. For Vortex was his home; his place of birth. Har'oloth was foreign. How could he ever think to know a foreign city better than his own?
He went to the gates. The man was nothing special to look at. Just your basic, run-of-the-mill, human male who wore dark clothing. So he had no trouble crossing the barrier to the underreef. But what was he doing down here? What could he possibly find here that he couldn't find above ground? His feet would soon find him the answers he sought.

The healer knew that he had far too many ideas to be so undeniably poor. At this very moment, he had an idea that could possibly flower into something very profitable. He had come to understand that without any money, he was very limited in the things he could do. It was a realization that had spurred this very idea to life. He carried out the math in his head yet again as he glided deftly towards the dark opening of Har'oloth. He gazed to the stairs that led down to the underworld of the Vysstichi, then gazed longingly at the elevator. Yes, yes he needed some assets. He sighed and resolutely took the stairs.
He looked at the guards briefly and noted that they'd also have to be taken into account, then he descended into the pitch of the underworld.

10th brightening of Aperitus, Winter.
Era I of the Pax Imperialis.
Liack followed a crowd of people moving towards the vertex, it was a typical of a time like this, mid morning of the brightening as it was. Vyssie's were going back below where it wasn't so bright, and the lighter races following the crowd to where the action was. Liack passed the guards unimportant, unacknowlaged, but never unnoticed.
Liack, unlike the veriouse light races, felt a sudden realese as he entered into the darkness of the vertex, a release that allowed him to free himself from the discomforts of the suns. He didn't relax, however, votex may be a city mared by controversy but Har'oloth was pure danger. It was also the only place he could find exactly what he needed.

One hour after Noon, third day of the Last Cycle of Ponutis, Winter of Era III. Era XII Post Fractum
Indigo followed those who were heading to Har'oloth, since he had never been here before he decided to blend in for now. Soon Indigo would be heading out to colloect a bounty and he decided that having a back up visa with someone elses name on it might be a good thing to have. He had heard that there was a forger in the area so following the directions that he had been given he headed towards the tiny shop

20th of Ponutis, In the Season of Winter
Era XII Post Fractum, Era III of the Celestine Mandate
It was nearing dawn, and Kuro found himself wandering the streets of Vortex. Suddenly, Kuro found himself amidst a tide of people, most of them vysstichi but some of them light-borns, who were making their way toward Vertex, the entrance to the undercity. In his short time in Vortex, not once had Kuro found himself in Har'Oloth. Truth be told, the young kemite was a little afraid of it. Afterall, one made for an easy mark for cutthroats and theives when one didn't have the benefit of darkvision. All the same, Kuro was pulled along with the tide, unable to fight it or find a way through to the alleyways on the other side. Resigned to his fate, he went with the flow, flocking to his doom, perhaps.

A vertex to the undercity of Har’oloth had not been difficult to find, the structure leading down towards the vista below being one of popularity judging from the hustle and bustle of the crowd. She had never been to an underground city herself, but she was sure that it would be beautiful- all things were, in their own way, and all it took was for one with open eyes to see it.
Following the throng of people as they made for the descent into Har’oloth, the woman did not choose to say or do anything which would attract untoward attention to herself. Her one aim here was simple after all- make it to the undercity, and from there seek out guidance towards its greatest Hayan temple.

Era III Celestine Mandate, Month of Optia in Summer
It was not a simple step for a lightborn elf to take. And while everyday and innocuous to the common eye of Vortex residents, Xavienael knew that the vertex represented the yawning maw of a hidden monster to one such as himself. Beyond that, there lay only immediate peril that deepened with every step. The nominal governance by Imperial authorities of the vysstichi city will not safeguard him in any form.
Yet, if any shadow of a doubt lay over the elflord, they were left firmly behind in the daylight whence Xavienael came. With bland self-assurance, he paced past the guards and delved into the undercity.

Dzie hadn’t been in town long before he found his way down to Har’oloth. He had heard that there was a vysstichi place underneath Nexus Prime, where he was from but he never knew how to get there. Perhaps once this weather had changed he would investigate a little further on that. But for now he was content going down this dark hole to what was likely considered one of the darkest places in the empire.

Vesper came to the Vertex closest to where his home was in Har'oloth. He tried to get in as unnoticed as possible, he did not really like people seeing him. It had been three cycles since he had been home, but now basking in the crimson light from above, he could remember just how it had been, and continued in.

Third Brightening of the Second Cycle of Pontius
Once again Sel was on his way to the comfortable depths of Har'oloth. It was not his first time down and it would not be his last, but every trip was an annoyance, having to wait in the line and join the crowd that descended the stairs at a snails pace. If only he lived in the city of Har'oloth it would be a lot easier, perhaps that may occur some day, but today was not that day. So as usual fell in with the crowd, his black robe hiding him within its depths. Arms crossed in front of him his right hand resting easily on the hilt of the stiletto hidden up his left sleeve. There was always filth around, and one could never be too careful in this city. At a snails pace, the dark elf moved along with the crowd, passed the watchful guards and to the depths of Har'oloth.

40th Brightening. Melora. Winter XIII PF.
Rhargn had spent the candlemark aimlessly strolling around Vortex, his mind void of any thought except the previous brightenings tales. His shoulders sunk low, while his usually happy, hazel gaze was routed to the ground, causing a great aura of depression to radiate from him. However, Sam was a completely different story. The new sights and smells that caressed his senses caused him to tug slightly on his lead, which concluding in him being ordered to 'heel'. He was becoming the obediant dog now, that was for certain.
After the grains of sand had ticked by, the duo found themselves at a slight bit of hustle and bustle. The Dragonhound fortunately unforcefully forced a path so that they could head to the front of what was happening. They were faced by a perculiar enterance to what appeared to be the underground. With nothing on his mind, he simply made his way down, oblivious to where he was heading.

Winter of Era I of the Celestine Mandate (current Pattern), Era XIII Post Fractum... continued from here.
Vertex. Hazudar. Together, in one Vertexudarian entrance post...
Uhhh................ like a whisper, the ever-misfit gusted hither, wearily, warily through the gates of the living cemetary, bearing about him an icy chill of seasons-killed and deathly purpose, unholy thirst thrashing about his massive form like a black wormed omen, the Brutrip radiating cold shafts of broken glass, benighted like ill-fated Usher, draped in a robe of twilight and consumed with stark thoughts of endless night.
Shaking off winter's frozen tears, the verdant devourer of fears vanished like a line of echoes spinning itself into the thinning crowd of Vortex's dark inhabitants, commiting his soul to the slow, dreadful plunge down and under, in fear and wonder, deep into the cold, secret place where Haya's faceless children spilled seeds of vile lust and thrust their curses to the tyranny of the day. Entangled green and red veins pulsed with pestilential mixed blood, an existential response to Haroloth's wordless call... Hazudar's breathfall came shallow, ragged, as he felt his sallow insides stir at this hell-bent descent, both promising and frightening in its depth.
Yet NAY! was his unsaid answer to the slow and steady dance of dread, for he sped forth not of his own will--still compulsed by the whims of a mistress of sin whose name he knew naught, chained metaphorically in loyalty and treachery alike. Watching his ramshackled feet drag across empty plains of desolation, blithely the Bloodhalved proceeded, blindly he pushed on, into a dawning future his crimsoned eyes could neither fathom nor turn; perhaps to his doom, perhaps to hers. It mattered naught, for there existed no other route. Destiny was set. Goth was his writing style.
Breathless he entered the Abyss.

TIMESTAMP: 2nd Brightening of Junticor, Era XIII
As the sun began to rise on the city of Vortex, Corl Tzenk was forced to retreat from the blinding light. He stumbled into the nearest vertex. He felt the cool embrace of the underground guiding him on. Surely here he would feel most at home.
Having barely a coin to his name, Tzenk headed down along the foot path. With each step he felt more confident. This was a home he could respect. He just needed to remember to mind his tongue around the Vysstichi.
