“It’s not easy, but it’s possible to adapt to it.” She pondered about his question for a moment. “There aren’t any whole cities that I know of, but there’s Fae villages and cities that have sizable Fae populations. Humans can’t really visit them given houses are way too small and tend to be build into trees. They’d have to stay outside if they came to visit.” She smiled at the Dracon. “The very reason I’m looking for something Human sized.”
She thought about the proposed establishment for a moment. “Sounds good.” The prize was no issue either. She didn’t mind spending what money she had so she could easily afford one several times more expensive. “The lack of furniture isn’t much of a problem, though an extra floor could be nice though, or perhaps one or two rooms more for each floor. It can have a basement or a garden, but it’s no necessity.” The current proposal was probably more than sufficient for the current amount of books, but she figured some extra space could always be useful if they wanted to expand in the future.

„It’s nice that you think of us humans“, Fergal decided. “If we tried to enter a fae sized house, we would ruin it and you’d be homeless.”
As she told him that she wanted an extra floor or more rooms on each floor, he consulted his book again.
“There’s another house. There isn’t much going on in that particular area – there are mostly normal houses and no taverns and shops – but the house is slightly bigger than the first one. It has an additional room – a very large room – on the groundfloor – and two additional small rooms on the first floor. There is also a second, small building with one room on the property. It can easily be converted into a guest house.”
“The house also has a basement and a garden. It costs 8.000 crowns. If that isn’t what you want either, I can continue to look.”

“Well, if we wouldn’t take Humans into considiration we’d be homeless, so it’s benefitial for ourselves as well.” She waited as he continued to search in his book. She considered his next find. While it would work out a bit different then she had envisioned she decided it would still be about right for what she had in mind. “Yes, I’ll think that one will do just fine.” She had money enough to buy even larger ones, but then they’d probalby start becoming larger then they ever needed.
“I’ll take it.” With that she produced a pile of papers and fished out notes worth five thousand, three thousand and a thousand crowns. She flew over to the desk, put them on it and then flew backwards again, returning to her seat.

"Great", the aedile said as she told him that she would take the house. He opened a drawer of his desk, found the deed and then put it in front of her. "I just need to see your visa now, and then you can go. I hope the deed's not too big for you. If you want, I can make a small one, especially for you." The house deed was of course - as everything in the office - human sized. There weren't enough faeries in the city to make producing faerie sized things worthwhile.

“No need.” She waved his offer away with her hand. It’s not as if she had expected it to be differently sized. “I’ll just store it away anyway, so it doesn’t matter much how big it is.” And even if he was willing to try she doubted he’d manage to create something that was truly Fae-sized. With that she flew over again and put her Visa on the table. It said Lilya Morinstar and claimed she was now 34 years old. It was fake of course, but of excellent quality. She didn’t expect the Aedile to take more than a glance at it, just long enough to copy the needed info, so it should hold up just fine. After putting it down, she flew backwards to her seat again.

Fergal only looked at the visa for a moment. Even if he had looked at it longer it was doubtful that he would have noticed it was fake. When you were facing a harmless looking faerie that wanted to buy a house, you just didn't think of such things. It would have been different if he had dealt with a mountain of a man that was dressed entirely in black, but Amber just looked so trustworthy!
"Thank you", he said and returned the visa to her. "Your new house is situated in Smernost Avenue 17. It shouldn't be too hard to find considering that one of the most popular taverns of the city is nearby, but if you need detailed directions?"
He looked at her. If she didn't anything else from him, she was free to go and move into her new "home".

Amber considered herself to be fairly trustworthy. It was just that in this particular instance she was masking the truth a little because it simply was much more convenient. Even now she only wanted to protect herself and had no intention of scamming the Aedile or anything.
“No, I think I’ll manage to find the place.” She had the general direction and the address, so it couldn’t be that hard to locate the place. “Thank you for your help.” She made a bow and flew out the room. Just before she left she activated the imbued spell. As soon as he would have finished with the paperwork the event would start falling to the depths of his mind and he wouldn’t easily remember it.

Cryxatum, ERA XV, PF
Pleasant area of the City, this one. Quite the bourgeois hub of affluence.
Hura had no time for it, had he, he wouldn't be amiss taking a seat under one of the leafy trees and absently procrastinating about all manner of things. There were times he could indulge himself into believing he were quite the Savant.
He enters the somewhat humble offices of the Aedile and rap raps the knuckles of his long right hand on the wood before him.
"I am here to begrudgingly sell my most beloved, sentimental, and... oh it's just such a horrible task to have to do."
The hand that rap rapped the wood now balls into a fist that he places to his mouth. Tears of a crocodile well in his milky white eyes, tumbling down over both taut boney cheeks.
"Oh it's just such a shame! Such a shame..."
He appears to gather himself.
"I am here to sell my shack. I believe the going rate is 500 gold pieces.
Here, my Visa.
I do not wish to burden these offices any more than I have to, but I am currently in service to the Thane on a most important mission concerning creatures of the demonic ilk."
That smile appears, ugliest thing ever to grace the City of Vortex, surely.

Hura
Fergal, the aedile of Vortex, was a rather unremarkable looking human, neither handsome nor ugly, not old, but not a boy anymore either. He had brown hair, brown eyes and was dressed in clean clothes that weren’t the absolute height of fashion. It was strange, considering he was a dracon and could have shapeshifted into anything he liked. He could have made himself the most handsome man in the entire kingdom – or maybe it was not so strange. Maybe he just didn’t want anybody to think that his looks weren’t natural. Maybe he wanted to blend in.
As the Esh’lahier stepped into his office, mourning the fact that he had to sell his most beloved, the dracon in disguise looked at him curiously and arched an eyebrow. “If you want to sell your wife, we don’t deal in slavery unless she happens to be a barbari. We also don’t buy jewelry or anything else. This is the aedile’s office, and we only buy houses.” As Hura revealed that that was exactly what he wanted to sell, the dracon smiled slightly.
“Well, then I have good news for you, Sir. I think I can give you 1.000 crowns for your most beloved.” He took the visa, looked at it and returned it, having decided that it was not fake. “But I need the house deed from you as well so that you can’t try to sell it a second time.” The man’s revelation that he worked for the Thane surprised Fergal. “Creatures of the demonic ilk?” he asked. “You mean, this is about the Herald article that was published a while ago? I sincerely hope that you have combat or arcana skills of some kind, Sir. Those demons should not be underestimated.”

"Yes... It would no doubt be a tantamount requirement to have such skills were I wishing to see the creature... dead."
And as if by some wondrous sleight-of-hand, or magic of the illusionary kind, he whips out the Ownership Document and places it on the wood of the desk before him.
"I wouldn't even fathom, indulge, or entertain attempting to re-sell my dearly beloved abode.
I'm a fine upstanding Vortex citizen."
He attempts a re-assuring smile, it falls short, instead appearing like a malformed grimace on his wholly ugly mug.
"Ahhh... I will miss the views, beggars in the gutter always put me in good frames of mind.
Nevermind.
1000 Crowns is a princely sum for paupers is it not?"
The grimace is now sly.

Hour 1 of Aslanica, 5th Brightening of Aperitus
Spring, Era XV of PF
As she walked in she saw file cabinets and stacks of papers, precariously piled around the room. Among all these stood in the middle, a human. Jovia at this point, wondered if she should turn and leave to come back later. No, she came here, it was already done, and besides, what happened if the guards noticed that she did no business here? She had to get out of Prime, even if she had just arrived.
She shook her head and took a deep breath and with her eyes still closed, she took two steps forward. Two forced and stiff steps forward. Finally, once she approached the counter (which seemed to take forever) she took another deep breath, and opened up her eyes to the dwarf. “ Yes, Excuse me, I would like to sell my hovel please.” She forced with as much pleasant gracefulness she could muster in a voice such as hers. Instead, it seemed to her to squeak like a mouse that was communicating with the hungry hawk that stood in front of her.
She waited, her eyes strained with the repressed feeling of impatience. This was it. This was the beginning of the rest of her life. This was the test from the Gods above. Was she truly ready?

After thinking it over for quite some time, Gren had decided that at the moment it would be in his best interests to sell his tenement. He did'nt really need one, he did'nt have much posessions and he surely could use the extra money right now. So Gren walked around the city in search of the Aedile's Office. There were many luxurius buildings all nestled in part of the city. And smack dab in the middle of them was a plain little building that stuck out quite a bit. This was actually the only reason that Grendor had found were he needed to be. As Gren walked towards the building he'd noticed that all of the curtians on the windows were closed, he found this kind of odd. One would think that they would need the light to work, but whatever.
As Gren entered the building he was greeted by two gaurds that glared at him quite a bit. It did'nt bother him much though, so Gren just continued to the front desk where the human recieptionist stood. Grendor approached and said, "Me jus move ere an me wan to sell the deed to house. How much ju gib Gren?"

Fergal looked to the orc, slightly yawning. "We offer 1000 Gold Crowns for houses. Would you like to sell yours? It would be a simple transaction." There was a look of boredom nested deeply in his eyes, and when he stared at the orc, he didn't bother to hide it.

"Hhhmmm, 1000 crowns," Gren thought to himself. This would definately be enough to buy a weapon, get some more training, and still have plenty of money left over to buy food, drink, and a little bit to blow. Grendor wasn't much for blowing his money though, when he got it, he held onto it. After weighting out his options Grendor said, "Yeah, 1000 gold crowns soun good to Gren, do what ju gotta do."

"Alright then, sir. The transaction will be a simple process. However, I do require identification. It would be great if you could hand me both your visa and deed." Fergal sat there, looking expectedly at the orc. He was probably another adventurer. Adventurers always wanted to sell their homes and go off...somewhere. He stretched his hand out, as if waiting to receive the two items he had asked for from the orc.
