[Constabulary] - The Armed Approach (Dimitri, Selena, Kalinda, PM to Join)
Seventh Brightening of the Fifth Cycle in the Month of Kalendryas in the Season of Winter; Era I of the Celestine Mandate, Era XIII
Post Fractum. The First Era of the Regency of Milo L'Evienne.
In the center of town a large body of troops started to swell, spreading out in the the small court-yard outside of the constabulary, perhaps forty of the mounted infantry dismounted there horse and moved towards the doorway, where Keldon was already moving towards.
Should any guard stand in there way they would be ordered to stand aside, and thus far they would follow the Imperial Direction. However so far they were asked to stand aside in a more pleasant manor and not demanded. But that could all change very soon. Half the force dismounted while the other half remained mounted there horse's moving around slightly and there eyes watching.
It only took a second before another twenty or so men broke off from the main force and made there way towards the rear of the building.
Keldon pushed the doors of the constabulary open, flanked by three armed legionaries behind him, and then several rows behind that followed in suit. Entering the room Keldons eyes locked with the dorin who seemed to be paying little attention, and then shifted to the man snoring in his chair, rather contently. A quirk came to Keldons brow as they filed into the room however as he first entered he snapped. "At attention guardsmen!" his voice was firm and not ready to be waited on.
Once they seemed to come to or wake up partially he would look at both of them. "Where is the local commander? We must discuss the defense and further law enforcement of Vortex and quickly." he said rapidly, a lie however one that was being told seriously and without any hint otherwise.
OOC: I am not sure if Kalinda mods the Constabulary or if Dim does. Dim if you do feel free to Mod the guards to point us around or if not then I guess we will wait for a GMly person... or Dim could walk out going "uh yes?" heh

Imperial soldiers were not the most popular figures in Vortex, as they moved through the city they would receive cold stares, the wounds of the past rarely healed quickly. Still Keldorn would get his wish he would be allowed into the guardhouse easily, the men knew better than to resist imperial might. The walls and ceiling of the guardhouse had recently been made wider and the cause of this was evident. Dimitri arrived through a side door still large enough for many men to pass through shoulder to shoulder. His customary silk eyepatch was upon him, his trollhide leather armour and his great black cloak bearing his family and his city arms upon it. His gauntlets hung from his belt and his one good eye looked at this interloper. Behind him two colossal minotaurs stood watching the scene, their hot breath like clouds of smoke whipping from this mouths and nostrils.
"It is unusual for an Imperial force to fail to announce itself, still I saw your coming and heard of it from my men." He grinned, "Yet I find it curious that you would discuss law enforcement with me instead of going to my superior her Grace the Thane." He eyed Keldorn and smiled gently, "So why dont you tell me who you are and why your men have my building surrounded, have you grounds to be suspicious of us." Dimitri had already sent his two halfling runners to alert his own troops, his dark elves would soon be ready to move, and the Vortexian military at the fort would be able to dig in, still Dimitri did not want combat, it was not good for Vortex.

Keldons eyes locked with Dimitri, without a flinch he looked to the man and inspected him over. Quickly glancing towards the men guarding behind him then to those at the desk however he looked back to Dimitri his eyes going no where else. "Excellent, Captain Wladisyaw I would presume?" he said with a smile.
Once Dimitri confirmed who he was then Keldon's face would become serious. "Captain you have a decision, one that will effect your men and the lives of all those within the city. As a Commander you must decide if your life is worth all the lives of your men...." He glanced to the door briefly then back to Dimitri. "I am to understand you have a wide variety of men under your command. However I question if they can stay off a entire Legion and assaulting force that will be brought to bear against the city should you resist being placed under arrest... Captain.. as that is why we are here... you are hereby formally charged with Rape, Violence, enslavement of Imperial Citizens and violation of the Articles of Imperium...."
Keldons arm was resting on his pommel and he was looking at Dimitri with little concern. There was five people within the building in the room thus far and more then more highly training military men around Keldon. Combat was the last resort Keldon was looking for however if the man and his men attempted then that is what would be required. "I can either walk out that door without you Captain and stay outside the city walls and force my way to you. Which will undoubtedly cause unnecessary loss of life, or you can walk out the city gates with me..."

Dimitri smiled and nodded gently holding out a hand to calm his minotaurs, gently he unhooked his gauntlets and let them fall to the ground. "If the Velvet Throne of the Empire wishes to have me in its grasp I cannot say no can I?" He grinned gently and eyed keldorn with his one good eye, "I find it highly amusing that an entire legion is needed to restrain one man who is willing to come of his own free will, do you have no border disputes or dark and sinister plots to foil." Dimitri grinned gently.
"I would raise a few issues however with you General, firstly I was under the impression that the Imperial army was not a nationwide police force and as I have not been charged with treason I would assume only a provincial court could convict me, I have not been charged with commiting a crime against the state hence I do not see your purpose here." He chuckled, "And of course I think I am right if you do wish to take me in asking for an imperial writ after all."
Dimitri smiled and puffed his chest out, "Allerians shall not take the law into their own hands, or dispense with Justice in their interpretation. Powers which are limited to the State alone - the power to kill, incarcerate and eject through banishment - shall never be exercised by a Citizen without approval from the Imperial Government, or in the pursuit of Honour." He smiled gently, "So you will furnish me with the states arrest writ for me I take it, otherwise I suggest you contact the govenor and have me tried on a provincial level by the high justice of this very province." He smiled gently and patted one of his minotaurs gently, "Vortex may be a dark city general but even we are fair, despots rarely get far even with an army at their back." Dimitri stood his ground awaiting the riposte from Keldorn.

The elven mounted Knights followed the Imperial Legion into the courtyard and there they stayed with the Imperial force, save for one; a wingless dracon of almost giant like size dismounted and followed Keldon into the Constabulary. He stayed to the back of the officers that entered that building, not wishing to announce his presence totally for the moment, though he was quite hard to miss given the fact that his head nearly touched the ceiling and he had to duck, almost folding himself in half, in order to get through the doorway. Not to mention that he was the only black scaled and dragon faced person in the room.
He held within one fist a long hammer, the head of which rested upon his shoulder. It was not the best of weapons to use in such close quarters but then again, it was a weapon that could turn close quarters into ranged quarters given a hard enough swing at the walls. That was not the reason for being here though; apprehending a criminal was. He could not help but smile slightly at the words of Keldon, and that smile could do naught but widen at the words of Dimitri. It amazed him sometimes to realize how little Allerians knew of the Law they had been living under their entire lives.
Were it Raliric leading this force he would simply have ordered the man's arrest and then escorted him from the city; not bothering to answer the questions of the accused. But Raliric was not leading this force and thus he stayed to the back of the proceedings, awaiting an order that would set himself, and his knights, into a motion of possibly dangerous events.

Keldon started to chuckle slightly and then motioned for two legionnaires to move forward to place the man under arrest. A wide smirk on his face as he shook his head. "You have an interesting view on the law Captain, and that of the Army. If there was an entire Legion here to arrest you the streets would be filled with armed me and several thousand would be lined on the countryside outside awaiting orders to enter the city." He said with a shake his head again. "Although the dark plans you state are not present are no longer yours to make comment on Mr. Wladisyaw as until you prove me myself and the court of law of your innocence said charges are considered valid and your guilt absolute."
Keldon said as he cast a glance towards those men present in the room and those who were behind Dimitri. "However your request to have the provincial government informed of this arrest is denied. Although they will be told of such actions they hold little power over such an action. Nor do they have the authority to over turn an order of a representative of the state." he said as the men who where ordered to apprhened him would take Dimitri's arm's forcefully.
Shortly afterwards another legion member would appear with shackles to bind the former Captain, however Keldon's hand raised as the man moved towards Dimitri. "We will allow him to leave the building with his pride and dignity intact, he does not need to be chained by the legs. However his arms are to be chained but cover them with a cloth." Keldon said as he motioned for the rest of the men to head towards the doors. They had been given there orders before entering the building and they would carry them out.
Keldon's gaze turned back to Dimitri. "I will humor you Captain, something you can discuss while we ride. I am here because charges are now laid against you Mr. Wladisyaw, and not by a Provincial court but, by a representative of the crown's might and no writ is needed. A member from the Office of Justice will see to your concerns, until such time my speech in your arrest is law, and something that you nor any local official can overrule." he said ready to leave should he offer no resisting.
"Oh... Mr. Wladisyaw, you forget something. The Imperial Army is an arm of the Imperial Government and answers only to those who are Imperials... now I would be careful in your choice of words as they can be assumed as a threat against a representative of state which... Captain... would be treason." he would move towards the doors of the guardhouse, ten legion members remained in the main room with Keldon and the others but when they made it to the door Keldon would turn around.
"Captain, I will ask this once and only once. The information that I have could very well lead to your death. So I will ask you to either point me in the direction of any criminal location or imperial citizens you have held captive and enslaved or have remaining... and it wont be asked again." Keldon would wait for the final word from Dimitri before he would move out of the building.

(OOC: May have to stop this thread at some point due to background threads that affect its outcome for the moment I think we can proceed however! :emperor: )
Dimitri nodded gently and smiled, "I will not argue with you, after all what better debating skill than to have armed guards on your side, words in this case will do little for me I understand that." He grinned however and as the men came towards him allowed himself to be restrained willingly, "I would be chained at the legs also, I am a dangerous felon after all, and seek not to be covered by a cloth. Nae let my dignity fall apart before me, let the people of Vortex see their son chained by the Imperial army, let their eyes rest upon justice and how you offer no repreive to those that break the law, it will do them good perhaps. If you can restrain their Duke then perhaps you can restrain them also." He would refuse to move until retrained further although of course they could merely drag him, he would not resist that.
He turned to the minotaurs, and carefully winked twice in quick succession impossible for any of the men to see, but to them it was an order, they were not to be captured he presumed and as such could put certain measures into place even if he went to trial. He smiled at Keldorn as the pathetic puppet made his request, "You ask a member of the church and a loyal member of the civil service of this empire if he has enslaved any citizens, I have done no such thing so I cannot furnish you with what you seek Captain." He smiled gently, "But if I am guilty it is not knowledge you need is it, and if you decide not to ask again then we will have little to discuss, and that suits me fine." He smiled softly and looked about the room, he was far from confident internally. He knew that evidence would be hard to come by, his stronghold was far below ground and difficult to find, his slaves would be moved or killed and his operations lessened or removed by Dorvold. Yet it was proving his own innocence that would be troublesome especially with Imperial mages about, he was tempted to make a run for it but he decided perhaps it was best to be hauled before the system. He could at least strike a few blows before he went down, and perhaps that was all he could do in the end.
"Lead on guards of the Imperium, take this wretched soul into the streets and beyond into justice, I long to feel its sweet sweet wrath."

Keldon nodded his head, "Very well," he said as he motioned his head towards the soldiers would would move over and place strong steel clads over his wrists, and then his legs, which would be bound together with a chain so he would only walk a brief distance at a time. He would step aside and allow Dim to pass through the doorway into the yard which was filled with Imperial troops. Many of whom were in formation others looking around the area. Dimitri would be escorted be four soldiers one at each corner of him walking at the same pace as him towards a set of horse's in the center of the yard where he would be escorted and given 'assistance' to mount.
Paying little heed to the mans statement of his service to the Empire of the church. Keldon was well aware of what a man could do regardless of his position in the world. So he would stand at the doorway until Dimitri was past the door and near the mounted men he would wait for Raliric to make his way infront of Keldon. "Your men have a nack for finding things and details that are there where many people.. even me can not see them." He said with a smirk then looked over to an officer standing watch a short distance away. "Cencoris, here if you would!" he said as the well built human moved over to Keldon rapidly.
"Sir!" he said sharply coming to attention. "Send word to the Naval Personal outside the city in the camp, there orders are to come to the guardhouse and secure it. I want twenty of our troops inside at all exits anyone who leaves is to be searched any documents they have on there possession is to be confiscated for the time being. Once the marines arrive they are to secure this building and any other building that is required..." he said rapidly and then would turn to his friend. "I would like someone you trust and some knights to remain here aswel to look over the building and any details... I am going to ask another close friend of mine to remain aswel... I need to decide if we should march him back to Paxia's walls and wait for the Minister of Justice's office to respond or should make camp outside the city and wait for any information from inside the city's walls..." he said looking around then back to his friend.
OOC: No worries, if something comes up let me know. I was concerned about a FT lock but since theres nothing to present itself we are all good for now. However if something does change feel free to let me know, problems with FT or bunnies that are just because something went wrong are sometimes unavoidable... although annoying hehe.

Raliric, once motioned forward, would answer, his large bulk moving from the back of the room forward to be presented to the Provost. He would nod then, understanding that his men had been part of the prefecture before joining the Knights and thus would be more inclined to the search than the imperial officers. Having been a part of the prefecture in Tirisfal had given the men a very thorough understanding of the various evil that existed in the world and could thus spot any suspect items quite easily.
”I would suggest otherwise, Keldon. Do not return to Paxia with the criminal, instead return to Alleria Prime. Present the criminal before the Minister of Justice whether a response is received or not. Arium's Justice system is flawed, it is worthless as the resent Herald issues have maintained. Escort the criminal to Alleria Prime and have him tried for the various criminal actions he has been found guilty for. Whilst you do that, a portion of the force can stay here, within the city and investigate the Commander. My men have... a deal of experience with dark types, we know where to look and what might be waiting to be found. Though press the Minister for his own investigators to be dispatched” A nod to indicate that he had finished what he wished to say and would wait for the elf's final orders, should there be any change to them.

OOC: This thread is now considered null and void. In researching the specific events leading up to this thread, it has been found that Keldon’s letter to Ralaric clearly states that he would be arriving in Vortex the first cycle of Kalendryas and that Ralaric could join him if he wished. As this thread is dated the fifth cycle of Kalendryas, it will be assumed that Ralaric showed up at the designated time and when Keldon didn’t appear, he simply left again.
Ralaric is instructed to take into account travel time to and from Vortex, as he –did- agree to meet Keldon the first cycle of the month.
I’m voiding this thread due to the issuing in removing Ralaric’s posts. Keldon is allowed to start a new thread, with the same time stamp, that takes into account that Ralaric is not there when he arrives.
This decision has been made by the whole of the GD, as well as the area GM, Kalinda.
Any questions regarding this decision need to be directed to the HD.
