"Interesting is one way to put it areka." he said with a slight quirk of his lips. Self depricating humor had always been a favorite of his. "Annd its good Kalenel has shown promise. Always favored the more subtle means myself, though it would be good to get a lil more practice in with the direct method." A true enough statement, he'd avoided using his sword when he could, mostly cause it always seemed to end up with him barely surviving the encounter, instead he's focused on th euse of poisons and other more delicate maneuverings.
"Hmm, though perhaps is a good time to review the curent status of the house. For my part, I'm focusing on simply reclaiming what was lost during my absence. Re-establishing my buisness and expanding, and once again trying to reasert myself into high society. For more imediate, I'v a variety of buisness dealings in paxia, and am digging up what resources I can to cover them. I'v various ideas on how to affect this, but those can wait till later for any expansion." he then looked to faust. With serion dead and his having been, well wherever he'd been.. Much of of the family buisness and resources had likely fallen to faust, and it wasn't likely areka, mere child that she was, had much impurt, and kalnel as well seemed to just be entering the house so it was most likely he'd put his efforts into suporting the other house members until they'd enough experiance to step out onto their own.

Chuckling at Areka’s innocent assessment, the dark elf conceded an amused nod. “Looks interesting?” He asked, quirking a brow and executing a sweeping gaze over his Uncle. “He does not look completely different from you and I, Areka, or Kalenel for that matter as well, definitely older though.” Laughing lightheartedly, the Vysstichi Prince’s gloved hand descended upon the girl’s head in a tender manner, ruffling her hair slightly.
After Dimnersti’s summary of his recent endeavors, Faust nodded slightly. “If you need anything at all, Uncle, I’m sure that any of us would be more than willing to help in whatever way we can.” Despite the offer, the dark elf sincerely doubted that his Uncle would accept the proposal. Dimnersti was one of the most resourceful Vysstichi that he knew, and he always found a way.
“As for me, I’ve personal matters to attend to in Medonia and then Aelyria Prime for a few days. Afterwards, though, I intend on heading to Herozzal to tie up a few loose ends and checking on our status there.” A single nod indicated the conclusion of the Vysstichi Lord’s brief summary. When Serion had died, not only had Faust assumed responsibility for the clan’s military personnel, but it had also become his prerogative to ensure that the clan’s primary sources of income remained operational.
“What of you two…have you any plans yet?” He asked, looking to Kalenel and Areka.

"Plans." Areka said. "I had no plan when coming to the city, I had no plan when I ran from my home, It was not in a plan to get caught by some drunks and it was not in the plan to meet you. I have no plans I only have hate. Still I wish I had plans then my mind would not wonder so and my heart would not pain. Plans keep ones body and mind active so as not to go insane with their own endavers. Tell me, what is there for me to do with the D'rinishad's? Am I just to follow you are around Faust like a little annoying sister, or are you to tell me more about the people and the house who has taken a complete stranger in like their own? I thank for you help but I wish to know more. I want to learn I want to trust that I can call you all family and I want to learn to fight."
Areka looked for Faust to Kalenel and then to Dimnersti. She knew nothing about these men. She knew nothing about the D'rinishad's. And she had just spoken more words at one time than her whole life.

"I have no plans," Kalenel began, looking upon the group, "but to learn to fight and be of service to the House. I have no desire for material possessions, other than that of my swords." Kalenel thought this funny, and laughed slightly. It was true enough, he had not longed for much beyond what he could carry with him.

OOC: eh, gonna have to pretend Dimmy’s not here anymore ~.~
Leaning back in his chair, the dark elf laughed, fully amused by the younger girl’s slur of questions. It had been a long while since the clan had assembled like this, speaking openly to one another like most families did. House D’Rinishad was not a typical family in that its members were not related by blood, but the bonds that they shared were thicker than obsidianite.
“No, Areka, you are not obligated to follow me like a dog if that’s what you mean. We are family and as such we are here to look out for one another, as equals.” At this the dark elf nodded and glanced to Kalenel then before turning back to Areka, “But as a family we recognize the importance of our struggle for equality on the surface. Surely both of you understand that our people are not welcomed throughout most of the Empire, and that is why it is important for us to band together. It is simple. Your problems are my problems, and my problems are yours. But together, we ultimately strive for the empowerment of House D’Rinishad and our clan’s influence upon both the surface and the underground, and through any means possible…”
Purposely leaving his last statement equivocal, the dark elf’s hands curled around the armrests of his chair. “Our family has its roots in Herozzal where the Tenth House of Herozzal continues to live to this day. House Vhileraen, as it is called, is the family from which Serion D’Rinishad, our founder, escaped to the surface. He dreamed to establish a Vysstichi family here where the light-dwellers walk, where others like us could escape and live beneath the suns as well, and your presence in our family testifies to House D’Rinishad’s legacy. We are here so that this legacy might continue.” He grinned finally to Areka, “And yes…we can teach you to fight…perhaps better than anyone.” He pointedly glanced to Kalenel.
