A Partnership? (Elric)

Elric was glad to be out of that rabble of a riot forming in front of the tavern. The bad thing about it would be that he'd have to return to that establishment eventually because it was where he had chosen to rent a room the brightening before. What luck. He followed the dark elf to a nearby alley and there the elf took his hand.

"Thanks... yeah, I'm afraid most of my time has been spent in the lab, not in fights." Elric wasn't sure if that was a good thing or not. His interests in all things sneaky had led him to the understanding that he really needed to bone up on those things learned outside of the lab, but perhaps his time spent there would end up being time well spent in the future.

"You showed some skill, that's for sure, dare I ask what you do?" Elric knew a rogue in this dark elf if he had ever seen one. It was obvious in the way he moved and Elric was eager to learn the way this elf had obviously taken.

"In the lab?" Kalenel questioned, looking over Elric once more. "You are a alchemist then?" The fallen prince came to this conclusion quickly, remembering the labs of his fallen House. A knowledgable alchemist had many ways to do many things, that was something that always intrigued the young Kalenel.

"I have no occupation," Kalenel said with a smirk. "Besides perhaps that of the rogue, for what that is worth." There was no shame in Kalenel's answer, he enjoyed his life for what it was. As of late, he had taken up the swords of a warrior and had been progressing rapidly. Despite that, he still held on to the mindstate of a rogue.

"If I said yes, that would be only a half truth," was Elric's reply.

It was true, he had trained through the first two levels of alchemy. But since then, after a let down or two he hadn't stepped foot in a lab. In fact, it had been an era since Elric had even seen Professor Guess or a proper laboratory. He longed to have one of his own one day, but it wouldn't be to chase after some fool's hope of gold, no... it would be to create his more sinister of interests... poisons.

"I have training, yes, but I haven't been active for some time." His answer was simple and honest. "My interests are consumed with a more practical application of alchemy, something a rogue could use."

"If that is the case my friend," Kalenel said with his signature grin, "then we shall become quick friends."

For a moment, Kalenel's seemed to look past Elric as he put himself into deep thought. He seemed to be able to trust this character, and could greatly benefit from a friendship with Elric. Grinning as he made up his mind, Kalenel turned once again to the human.

"It seems we may be of some use to eachother then. I'm sure there is some alchemist in the city with a set of lab equipment and a stash of herbs." Kalenel grinned as he expected Elric to catch on. "Perhaps we could borrow some things and go into buisness for ourselves?"

Elric grinned a devilish smile, "Perhaps."

He wanted to laugh, but declined, as while this was all quite amusing to him, it was also quite serious. Elric really could use some supplies and while he could take time to earn money and buy them, he could also just steal them with the help of Kalenel. Yes, this was going to be a good partnership after all.

"What do you have in mind?"

Kalenel chuckled softly as he saw that Elric and he were on the same page. "I propose we locate someone with the equipment we will need, and find a way to transport it," Kalenel said after a brief moment of thought. "What kind of equipment would you need, and how large would the items be?"
