Sacrum Peregrinus Excipio... (Open)

Sacred Stranger Welcome...

There was no point in questioning the fact or trying to push the envelope too far.......prying within his own wretched existence to reveal his lies. He believed himself to be foolish in this way and had learned much over the last few cycles. The Origins of Vysstichi Nature. By Aeternia, it explained why he lived in lonliness, deprived of his relatives and relieved of any hope of finding a friendly ally.

The Faceless One?

Things were only the way they had to be and though he found no general reprieve in what people called fact, he held no illusions in the clutches of a firm realization, pessimism was the only truth he could rely on. Faith gave him nothing short of utter-despair, rotten to the core. His heart had been wrenched from him in the silence of his answers, a fluid capacity of thoughts falling short on the shadow of a doubt and fine-tuned to calculate only possibility. Johan wasn't evil at all, but instead......he derived his infallible possibilities to determine his next motive, it was only logical.

The gift.....

Indifferent, if only for a moment, Johan wanted to be his own person......and if anything, the Vysstichi-outcast was a genuine individual.

He gave his all to these sessions alone, where his blade cut the air about him with unforetold precision, but even with a will as strong as steel, dissapearing wounds never revealed the pain he felt continually. The pain of being abandoned, the pain of common-men and their massochistic nature, the pains of doubt and guilt......

.....or the curse.

No such questions stressed across his marred soul as did those which appeared the least obvious. Peace was unattainable and had never quite intertwined itself into his own path of fate. Destruction and heartache were two words common to The Faceless One, another reason he declared himself atheistic in nature, throwing stones openly at his creator, having damned Johan......morphing that which could have possibly been pure into something beyond reckoning. He was becoming a.......monster? Yes, perhaps......his father could not escape that nature which was foul enough, but it hoarded him as well and Johan remained ensnared in vice-like throes of merciless atheistic illusions and paranoia of selfish individualism.

The answer.....

Fate leads his hands, destiny guides his movements, wisdom justifies murder, and rationale........well, that just served to keep him sane. Gauntlet laced tightly over his right-arm, he lead the blade through several difficult routines, his fine locks of mythril silver-hair flowing tumultuously on the chill wind about his back and waist. His shoulders were still gentle-slopes despite hours of endless training and endurance exercise and the Vysstichi never seemed to muscle-out much at all. He wasn't exactly puny, but wasn't huge either. Settling back for a moment of rest, he found solace in no thoughts, only closing his eyes briefly as he came upon his knees, dropping the blade on the lush greenery, mud lacing his obsidian-skin in several small splotches. Light rain took to the area around him, goose-bumps forming as he shivered, fingers digging into the earth beneath, his mind meandering as he caught his breath, and he turned his face to the skies then.

........lonliness was the only solution in plain sight now.

Areka D'Rinishad is unknown and forgotten
Areka D'Rinishad walked out the front doors of the D'Rinishad Academy. She wasn't going to stay in all day everyday. Ever since she had been little she would sneak out of the house and walked the streets of the underground city. Granted on the few occasions she was caught a brutal beating came from it but it was worth it. Areka enjoyed the silence of some streets and the violence in others. It was at that young age she found and started her to perfect the art of her people watching watching.

As she walked in out into the streets of Vortex she winched and quickly covered her eyes before reaching her hands back to bring the hood of the new D'Rinishad clock over her head. At this point in time she didn't care to adapt her eyes the surface light and had grown attached to the D'Rinishad clock just like her former beaten and old one, which she did not give up after acquiring the new clothing from Faust.

Today was a people watching day. She silently walked the streets of Vortex. Each and every day she started to learn them like they were the back of her hand. She was still but just a young vysstichi but she didn't have to watch her back from drunken predators after the killing of the three humans in the open streets. She felt a little safe caring the name of D'Rinishad, but did not want that to be the only reason people steered clear of her and left her to her business.

Walking and more walking. Watching and more watching. She studied and observed. She would wonder about the lives of the people she walked by. She pondered if they had a real purpose in life. She envisioned the way each way every single one of them would die. She even stared to hum a song she had written in her darkened days at her parents house.

She almost seem like a stalker. She was the outcast of the outcast stalking the streets. She was like death coming after you, and telling you that you were to die soon. She was nothing like a child. She was smart and she thought about many things she said, but she still was a child. She stilled showed the tendencies, however slight and few and far apart they were, that she was a young girl who did not understand many things in the world. She also wondered about her innocence and if it was best to learn too much too soon or was it time for her to leave her childhood years behind and and take control of the life that she been placed in.

It was in her time of walking and watching that a vysstichi man caught her eye. He seemed to be in deep thought about something. Something seemed to be bothering him. She liked people like him. She called them the thinkers. Then she would divide them down into sub-categories. This man was put in the file of Thinkers, sub-category distracted. She usually did not interact with anyone she watched. But today was different. She wanted to follow him and so she did. For blocks she followed him and all the more she wished to now what hung on his mind.

Finally, letting the inner child in her get the better of her she spoke. "You look like something bothers you, I wish to know. Tell me." It was blunt, it was straight forward and it could be considered as rude. Yet, that was Areka and not to much was going to change the damage which formed her this way.

Kalenel D'Rinishad is unknown and forgotten
A smile spread across Kalenel's visage, hidden by his rugged cloak hood, as he saw his loyal friend leave through the doors of the Academy. He predicted she would soon enough, and he wanted to be sure she wouldn't get herself into any more trouble. Faust and he had already saved her once, and even then she was moments from a worse fate.

With his swords hidden at his sides, Kalenel looked like the common peasant as he walked through the streets of Vortex in pursuit of his young friend. He carried the D'rinishad happily and with pride, but found it more pleasuring to not wear it on his "sleeve".

Coming upon the other vyystichi man, Kalenel wanted to tell Areka to leave him be, but instead waited to see what would become of the situation. He stuck close by, hidden by the shadows, and observed the scene.

To Johan's discontent, in his moment of silence and solace, the voice of a child sounded like cats on a fence. Turning his blade with practiced swings, he buried the sentient-sword into the moss-covered earth and leaning heavily upon the decorated hilt of Redemption, turned to see who had bothered to stop and inquire about his "worries". A primitive growl crept at his throat, but his visage visibly softened when he beheld the spectacle of an innocent Vysstichi child standing about with no supervision. She at least looked well-kept, but it wasn't necessarily any physical characteristics or even the given situation... many of these same children wandered aimlessly around and even outside the dark city alone. Feth, Johan had been one himself.

Locks of silver drifting about his gently sloping shoulders and slender back, he turned his gaze away from the girl, keeping her small-form in his peripheral. Sweat beaded on his arms and onyx body beneath the drifting mane of fluid-hair. Flickering between a dull-golden and vibrant-lavender, his pupils shone brightly in the shadowy surrounding. In a gentle voice, he spoke calmly, more around her than at the child... he was sure she couldn't see his face. "Besides my early learning that information always comes at a price, I'm sure that you couldn't solve any such problems in question if they exist at all, child... " A purr rising in his throat, he stands straight and he smiles genuinely. Was this baby trying to disect The Faceless One?

She was adorable...

With a smirk, he perked a brow to the child. Knowing that her intention wasn't to pry intentionally, he loathed that forgivable straightforward manner in which children approached even a complete stranger and there was something sincere and innocent in that to where he couldn't be angry or on-guard completely. Walking forwards a bit, Johan crouched in front of her, careful he didn't stray too far from his possessions. "... but just out of curiosity, why would you want to know something like that? How does it benefit you? Being raised in a Vysstichi household... and considering your attire, I'll assume you're being taken care of quite well, I know that you're being taught to leave anything that doesn't serve to benefit you unfettered. Correct?"

He watched her between cascading bangs of silver, his feminine facial features betraying his cold personality. Through his shimmering violet eyes he met her own... and in the next few moments, she would discover that he honestly expected a response. If nothing else, this conversation could be interesting, even if it didn't quite serve to benefit the Vyssie's designs. It could be entertaining.

Ooc...Sorry for the long wait, I'm back on track with things now.

Areka watched as the vyssie drove his blades into the earth. He seemed to be nothing special, but today she was bored and wished to entertain herself no matter if it be with trouble. Areka slitted her eyes when he said that a child could not possible help him. But did not take it to heart and let it slide of her shoulders.

From what she could tell it seemed as if he was having an inner struggle with himself which was quiet amusing but not amusing enough to bring any emotion to her face. She was a rather dead child when it came to such things. At long last he made his approach toward her and upon a knee waited for her to answer his questions.

"I truly don't honestly care, I just happen to be bored with the mundanes of the brightening and figured you were as good as any to ask a question of. As for what I am taught that is of no business of yours. So are you going to tell me what troubles or not?."

Kalenel watched with curiosity from his hidden perch, eyeing both vyystichi. Areka was as unique as they get, he thought as he watched the young yet wise girl speak. The other one, the male vyystichi, too was not like the other dark elves of the city. This was turning out to be a interesting conversation, and Kalenel was now glad to be a witness to it.

What were the troubles of the Faceless One?
