The last man was approached by the torturer and Jade had to wonder if Dimitri would heed her suggestion or do something more bloody. So he was doing all this to impress her, how was she to react to this knowledge? Was she to feel complimented at such a thing or disgusted? She didn't exactly have much choice of being there, Dimitri had demanded her presence there on threat of death. She merely smiled as she inquired as to whether he was impressing her, not wishing to give anything away at that moment.
The blindfold was lowered slightly from the man, showing that Dimitri was indeed going for the man's eye and while the man was dying, he would know the voice of the woman that had called for him to lose his eye. Would such a thing haunt her? No, she had enough faces haunting her in the night, killed by her own hands, one disfigured because of a suggestion was not her problem. She watched impassively as the blade dug into the man's eyes, beads of blood falling until with a sickening pop, the eyeball came loose from it's socket to hang on it's stalk. The man who endured such agony screamed in pain and agony through the gag, but just as the others bled, so did he. His death would come soon enough, though at this point death would surely be a release rather then a punishment.
Feeling that he had finished with his other guests, he moved towards Jade, walking behind her, the knife still held in his hand. At first she thought perhaps that he would kill her right there, it would have been easy enough to do and yet it wouldn't make sense. To go through all that trouble to get her there only to kill her there. No, he wanted something else. The bloody knew was brought around and hovered in front of her throat, his words speaking softly into her ear. He wanted her trust and yet it was something she couldn't give, especially under such circumstances as this. "So it's my trust you seek your Grace?" Her voice was like poisoned honey, she kept her body still yet relaxed, showing that she had a certain confidence to her. "What exactly have you done to earn such trust?"
Jade Alanon was no stranger to pain nor blood, so she didn't fear either. "You do not have my trust just yet Dimitri, but perhaps you are getting there."

"I have not killed you, that surely deserves a measure of respect does it not?" He placed the knife on the table and placed a flat palm on each side of her face. Carefully he traced her features with his supple fingers. He applied pressure, it was firm but not painful and indeed to an extent supplied some pleasure. "You have such delicate features, it was what I first noticed about you Lady Alanon." He paused and traced her lips with a finger, "The gods have crafted you from perfect flesh and left not a blemish on you, speak all you will about yourself not being beautiful, but you cannot deny nature."
He paused for a moment and then continued talking, "Pleasure is such a humerous rarity these dark days." He paused, "For those like us Lady Alanon, those os us who fate deems to have a purpose, those of us who have no choice what path they take." He smiled and covered her eyes with his hands for a moment while he continued to speak in his gravelly voice, "Your path is to bring death to others, you cannot stop this, you cannot have love with young Eventide for he will never understand that it is not your fault, life has dealt you a hand that you have no choice but to play." He took his hands from her eyes and moved them to her shoulders again as he gently massaged her, "I must rule my people, the death and pain is my choice but it eases my soul, I must one day lay down my life for this city to ever protect it from harm." He crouched so his mouth brushed her ear as he spoke.
"Such pain in both of us hmmm? I understand you Lady Alanon, and I am the only one who can understand you." He nipped at her earlobe softly and continued, "I do you a kindness no others will, I invite you into my strongholds and respect your power and your mission, I give you immunity from the guards and soldiers of this city so you may do your missions as you wish." He paused, "What do I ask in return? To use your skills, and I ask you now to kiss me Lady Alanon, for as I say pleasure is so fleeting for us." His face was by hers, she would only need to turn her head to meet his waiting lips and to see the soft smile that alighted them.

Dimitri made a valid point quickly, stating that he hadn't killed her when he had the chance and she had to agree with it. Respect perhaps, but not trust because Jade was fully aware that Dimitri saw use in her, he didn't spare her without needing her on some level. She remembered his whispered words on how she deserved to be beside men such as himself, men that understood murder and didn't shy away from it. Did she wish to be with another murderer? Death and blood surrounded the Sanguine and she accepted this, but Austin helped her feel anchored in a way to the half of her soul that sought a normal life.
She felt a small amount of relief when he placed the knife on the table, she wasn't surprised when his hands went to the sides of her face, though she tensed slightly when he applied pressure, figuring it to be painful when in fact it gave her a sensation of pleasure. Jade didn't bother to argue with the man for it would prove futile. He saw worth in her beauty, such was a man she figured. She didn't deny her nature, she simply allowed others to have their opinions on her looks.
Jade arched a brow as Dimitri began to speak further on people like themselves. Jade had to wonder if Dimitri believed Jade to be a killer that took pleasure in her kills. Yes, there was times Jade took pleasure in her kill, especially when it was from a worthy advisory, but not when she murdered children and infants, that all weighed heavily on her soul. She felt a slight surge of panic when his hands covered her eyes, she didn't like not seeing what was coming next and she wouldn't doubt Dimitri to be one filled with nasty surprises when the moment struck. She didn't fight against him though, she sought to keep her cool. "Your path is to bring death to others, you cannot stop this." Was his words true even though he knew nothing of the Sanguine's cause? Was it futile to even try?
Once again Austin was mentioned and Jade felt a bit of annoyance that Dimitri sought to dwell on her lover. Did Dimitri wish to make sure she didn't seek contact with Austin again? But why, what would he gain from such a thing? She nodded her head slightly to show she understood and his hands moved from her eyes and moved instead to begin massaging her shoulders once again. She let her head fall forward slightly as she enjoyed the gentle massage, though she was ready to snap to attention if she had to.
Did Dimitri really understand her or did he simply believe that he did? Jade was not as simple as he led himself to believe, she was an assassin yes and she had showed that she had no problem killing if she had to, but there was more to it then that, more to the curse. She shivered as his voice ticked her ear, his teeth nipping almost playfully at her earlobe. He was right of course, he had supposedly given her immunity to his guards but he had also forced her hand in accepting his "invitation" to the citadel and sought to restrict her movements.
He wished to use her skills and she was dine with that, but now he chose to ask for a kiss, a kiss that was harder to give then her skills. She had only loved one man and that had been Austin, it felt almost like a different sort of betrayal kissing another man. Especially a man she felt nothing but possible admiration for. She wasn't the sort that just went around kissing various men as though it meant nothing to her, but she also saw this as a possible convenience, nothing more then that. She seemed to think long and hard about this before turning her head towards him and his waiting lips. She said nothing, words weren't need really.

His smile vanished as his lips puckered and pressed against hers. It was a prepared move, one he had mused on, one could tell from his actions next. His lips merely pressed hers for now but his hands moved with some intention in mind. They found her bound hands and raised them to caress one side of his face, leaving them resting one hand found its way behind her neck anchoring her to him.
Only then did he open his lips slowly and move his mouth against hers, he wanted her to understand him, to enjoy the pleasure even a simple act of coupling like this could mean. A moment of aesthetic beauty not of passion between two lovers, a moment of intimacy between two relative strangers judging a moment not by past experience or a judgement of characters but rather by sheer physical pleasure and attraction.
After a few moments of tasting her he would draw away and allow a smile to find itself on his lips again, he kept his mouth but an inch from hers and kept his hand behind her neck, rubbing gently. "Such purity in a connection made without hateful love or knowledge, a moment of pleasure between two mysteries no?" He kissed her again after allowing her time to speak if she wished it, following a similar routine as before.
He pulled away again, "I need you to trust me more Lady Alanon, I need you to allow me to have more to conclude our deal. I need you restrained fully, unable to free yourself, totally in my control but for a few moments, just to know you are not afraid, for you to know I will not harm you in my employ." He smiled casually and kissed her forehead, "This to you may seem strange and maybe even a horrible breach by myself but for me it is necessity, will you allow me my test? Or will you be less helpfull?"

She didn't close her eyes as she felt his lips press against her, this was not an act of love nor truly and act of liking either, it was something different altogether and she just hoped Dimitri kept this in mind. It was apparent that he had expected her to turn to kiss him, his lips not doing much but his hands moving down to where her bound hands lay. Never had she felt such an emotionless kiss before, but she had never kissed anyone to Austin either, so perhaps other men were different. He brought her hands upwards gently and had her caress his cheek gently with the back of her one hand.
His other hand brought her closer to him, keeping her there as he deepened the kiss, which surprised her of course. She was kissing the man that was engaged to Anora, something was very wrong about that. The kiss itself wasn't really all that distasteful or upsetting, there was an amount of pleasure to it that she found, perhaps it helped that she was unattached and he didn't expect her to show passion. She didn't pull back her hands or her lips, not because of her enjoyment but rather she couldn't, he held her there, though not to the point where it hurt.
Dimitri pulled back from the kiss after a few moments and Jade followed suit, there was no flush to her cheeks as one might expect from a girl that had received such a kiss nor did she smile as he did. She was more serious about the situation she had found herself in, she was expected to give him kisses when he asked? What more could he ask of her? His hand remained on her neck, rubbing at it and his lips remained mere inches from her own, it was a bit uncomfortable for her to be there while other woman would have enjoyed the slight tension in the air. He spoke and she pondered what to say, "A moment of convenience for the both of us as well."
His lips descended upon hers once again without need for permission and she once again didn't fight but nor did she submit to the pleasure that was there. She found her breath when he pulled back once again, having not expected another kiss from the Duke. When it came to trusting him, she wasn't sure what to think or do, she didn't like the idea at all of being restrained and unable to be in control, she didn't enjoy being vulnerable. "What then Dimitri, if I allow you to bind me as you wish, will you conclude this deal and allow me to end this charade of being a lady in your presence?" She was paranoid by nature, it couldn't be helped when one had a life like hers.
He kissed her forehead and she looked away from a moment, her eyes falling upon the bloody knife that lay before her and then looking at the three people who slowly bled to death before her. They had once been in his employ and yet there they were now, dying for his amusement. "I hesitate only because I know what people like us are like and I don't like feeling vulnerable."
"I will do it only if you promise not to make me do it again, don't treat me as though I was a common servant of yours for I'm not and never will be." If Dimitri agreed, then Jade would comply with what he wanted.

"You will not be treated like this again Lady Alanon." He smiled and raised himself up from his crouched position releasing her as he did so. Carefully he entwined his fingers and inverted them cracking them softly and smiling as he did so. "I do so enjoy being able to indulge my art Lady Alanon, I will make sure you are comfortable I assure you." He stood and moved to the door. He was gone for a few moments before returning with two orcs in tow. They wheeled a great chair into the room, it was imposing and looked rather grand.
"This I call modestly the Wladisyaw throne, a device of my own choosing, you shall be seated upon it and observe the rest of the fun from there." He helped her stand and untied her hands before leading her to the chair. When she was seated he began to strap her in, supple but firm leather buckles strapped around her form, one round each wrist, one for each ankle, one about her middle to keep her sat still, one about each thigh and one across her neck to keep her head upright.
Her hair was unfurled by Dimitri and secured away from her face by the scarf before the final touch of the chair was applied. A little helmet was applied to her head covering merely the top and tightened till it was firm but not painful. Evidently the nature of the chair allowed this to be tightened until death was the only logical outcome.
Dimitri moved to the table and found a couple of apples, great green things imported from the breadbasket lands or the east. He took a great bite from one and happily wedged the other into Jade's mouth stopping her speaking. The orcs wheeled her to the head of the table ready to watch whatever Dim wanted to do.
He took another big bite from his apple and smiled at her, so prone and helpless. He could not resist spending some time with her before the rest of his guests. He carefully rand his hands over her sides seeing if she was ticklish first of all, always a good starting point of exploration Dimitri felt. Then he began to trace the subtle lines of her body with his fingers, her ample bosom, her calves and once more her face. It gave him such pleasure to have her like a peice of art, even if he could only do it once, it would be such sweet pleasure indeed.
Finally he pulled back and planted a kiss on the side of her apple not jammed into her mouth, "Ready to watch Lady Alanon?"

To say that Jade was comfortable with any of this would be a lie for she wasn't she, she didn't want to be there with the madman, but she had gotten herself into the situation and even she could see the advantage of an alliance with such a man of power. Being able to hunt as she liked without having to worry about the law cutting in was a large burden off her shoulders as was having a place to stay in Vortex. Jade would have been foolhardy to believe she could trust Dimitri completely, she trusted no one completely, but she would take a risk and trust him on this and hopefully it would be the end of this foolish display.
She said nothing as he promised her comfort whilst he "indulged" his art. She hoped that she wasn't being a fool with this, though she was sure that Nymira would be able to help should Dimitri try to go too far. She remained seated as she waited for Dimitri to return, when he did, he brought two of his disgusting orcs with him, the orcs carting in a rather grand device in the form of a chair. Just look at the chair sent shivers up her spine, he was intending on setting her on that? Jade was beginning to wonder if she should retract her agreement to indulge him with this, but with the two orcs there and no weapons, she decided against it. Better to do it willingly then be forced into it.
She didn't need his help to stand from her chair, though she begrudgingly accepted it nonetheless, standing to her feet and allowing him to unbind her wrists. She shook her wrists a few times to loosen them a bit before she was led over towards the imposing throne where she would be completely bound. She took a seat and waited patiently, not showing any sort of emotion as he began to buckle her into the chair. First buckles were wrapped around her wrists and then her ankles. She was at least relieved that they didn't hurt, but she couldn't fight the impending urge to panic at the fact that her wrists and feet were bound now. Once Dimitri bound her body, he wrapped a leather strap around her neck to keep her head upright.
She leaned back against the chair back, finding it uncomfortable that she had to sit up like this, it was frustrating yet she didn't show it at the moment. Her hair was let down and pulled away from her face before a little helmet was placed at the top of her head. She felt it tighten until it was firm, but no pain came. She understood the devices capabilities and didn't like where she was now.
She wanted to speak, but a fethin apple was wedged between her teeth, it made her jaw hurt and her emerald eyes to harden as she glared at Dimitri. Such indignity and humiliation this was! She was unable to move or speak, though she still had Nymira if she needed her, she had her mind for that. As if this was bad enough, he began to explore her body with his hands, he didn't go anywhere too unsettling, but she didn't like it nonetheless. She didn't panic, she didn't cry or beg for release, she just seethed and waited to see what further would happen before she was released from the contraption.
Unable to speak to answer his question, she remained silent, not nodding nor shaking her head. Her emerald gaze remained on him the whole time, the look in her eyes showing her displeasure at such a display.

Dimitri smiled softly and winked at her as his orcs left the room. "You will cheer up, it gets more comfortable after a while and you wont be in for....that long anyway." He smiled, and moved back to the table, carefully he picked up the knife and moved behind the girl again a small grin spreading like a wildfire across his handsome face.
The girl and indeed the two men had stopped mumbling and had become droopy and silent from loss of blood. The girl lifted her head and tried to say something as Dimitri stood over her, and her eyes opened a little wider as he began to make a few small but precise cuts on her neck that drep little droplets of blood.
He turned to Jade and smiled at her as he softly cradled the girls head with one hands and made them look at each other. "Quite pretty no? I like to have pretty things around me even among my servants, but a pretty face hides sin. They taught me that in the church you know, trust not the face of our flock but see his good heart underneath." He smiled as he carefully lapped at the droplets of blood falling off the girl and causing her to moan.
In a moment he had swiped the knife upwards and while facing Jade the girl had lost her nose which hung from her face by a tenuous strand of skin.
Dimitri tutted at himself and gently severed the last remaining bit of skin sending the nose dropping to the floor, Dimitri casually spoke to Jade hiding the excitement he felt, "Mmmm I need more practice, if I cannot sever it properly every time."
He placed the knife on the table and let the girl roll forward on the chair, only her binding supporting her, she would die soon, two large incisions and blood pouring she would become weak quickly.
Dimitri seemed unconcerned at this, and moved back towards Jade. Carefully he traced a finger along her jawline knowing she could not move. "You see what I do Lady Alanon, I place you in....a situation you are not used to. Being controlled by another, this shows me your true power, your....control of any situation." He smiled, "You are physically bound but to show I am not a horrible captor, I will tell you something you can use against me." He smiled, "Well you posess such information, I love Anora Eventide, you presumably could find a way of informing her what Ijust did." He smiled, "Power you now have over me Lady Eventide." He reached forward and pulled the apple from her mouth, and spoke again, "Tell me of your mission, slowly I want to savour every drop of venom."

Dimitri didn't seem at all discouraged by her angry glare, he smiled instead and sent her a wink that did nothing to lighten her disposition. As he spoke, she felt her body beginning to get used to the chair, therefore making it more comfortable, but she wouldn't be able to fully relax until she was released from the contraption and allowed to move freely once again. At least the orcs left the room, that gave some relief to the bound Sanguine. She would have spoken if she would have, but Jade didn't need the use of her mouth to get a message across, her emerald eyes said most of what she was thinking and feeling.
The girl became the object of his attentions once again and Jade watched unflinching, wondering just what other horror would be visited upon the poor servant girl. The three prisoners were all weak and sluggish now from loss of blood and soon they would perish, though that didn't mean Dimitri couldn't help the blanket of eternal sleep come faster. He was one that enjoyed to cause others pain, he was not a man of weakness and from what she could tell, he felt he was righteous in his own right, which mean he was very dangerous.
The girl looked as though she wished to speak, to say something to the man that slowly killed her, but she was unable through the gag and the fact that she was so weak. Jade showed no sympathy for the girl or the other men, she cared little what happened to them at this point, all she cared for was getting out of the situation alive herself. The girl didn't cry, she didn't scream as Dimitri created small precise cuts on her neck that resembled the men's cuts as well, bleeding her dry seemed to be her wish.
So much blood pooled around the three victims, on the floor around them and the table as well, they would be dead soon enough, their suffering ended. Death was more a release then a punishment, especially in this case.
Calling attention to the woman's attractive features, Jade could do nothing nor could she say nothing, apparently he liked his women silent, though Jade hardly qualified as his anything. Yet another reason Jade found no faith with the church, a murderer such as Dimitri could call himself holy in the name of his god. Jade sought no such thing, she didn't serve the god that had cursed her, she served no god, bowed no knee to anyone. She cared little if the gods struck her down for such blasphemous thoughts, they had taken so much from her and continued to burn away what was left of her sanity.
Jade had kept an eye on the blade he held in his hand, watching as it swiped upwards quickly and nearly severed the nose from her face, the appendage hanging by a single tendril of skin. It was a macabre scene to see, Dimitri holding the bloodied blade as the girl could do nothing but whimper yet another wound had been struck, there was no doubt that death approached the girl faster now.
After dealing with the girl, he turned his attention back to his immobile "guest", tracing his finger gently over her jawline. She hated such free touches, for she was not something that he could own so easily, but he would learn that in time. She had no time to feel proud of herself that she had not buckled under pressure, she had held strong yes, but there was still a danger in her position that she had to face. Would Dimitri truly let her up from the monstrosity without making her promise him something? Something to hold against him? Why would he give Jade such power over him?
He brought up Anora, telling Jade that he actually loved her. It was hard to believe a man such as himself could love, but Jade was just as guilty as he was for different reasons, so she could not judge on who could love. She had no desire to let Anora know of what happened in the dining room, if Anora hadn't seen what her fiance was, then she wasn't looking hard enough. The apple was removed from her mouth and she closed her mouth, keeping calm even still. "If I know the Eventides, it won't be me that tries to turn Anora against you." She recalled how close Anora and Avrie had been and wondered how Austin would react to the dangerous man Anora was engaged to.
"Odd that you would willingly give such information up, being that you strike me as the sort that doesn't like to lose anything."
He asked of her mission and she sighed, unsure of what to tell him. She wouldn't give him the true facts for they were really none of his business. "What makes you believe I have a mission? Perhaps I simply enjoy killing as well."

"No you do not enjoy killing as I do. You left no true mark, you did not enjoy it, it was mechanical, you did it well....too cleanly." Dimitri smiled, "Plus I know of those with Virkyn, I have met your people before, I know you seek to avoid the law to move secretly for some greater purpose." Dimitri smiled, "You are still my guest Lady Alanon, I give you information for a dual reason." He smiled carefully, "I like to live with danger, and I want you to have a weapon against me, perhaps it will show you you can trust me."
He smiled, "But you are my guest and also immobile, so for the moment I want you to answer my easy little question." He smiled and pressed his soft lips to hers when he had finished speaking. His right hand found hers and carefully entwined her fingers as he kissed her softly and with a certain degree of affection. This was no brutish manly kiss ut a soft lovers kiss, in truth he sought to elicit some sort of passionate response, a little movement of the lips, a soft jerk of the body forward to connect with him.
He would pull away eventually and keep his fingers in hers, "Tell me of your kind, and of your Virkyn, please?"

Dimitri saw through her rather sarcastic dodge, knowing full well that she was more a mechanical killer then one that sought pleasure from spilling blood. She didn't feel the need to confirm nor deny what was said, not wishing to let him see that he got it correct. He spoke again of knowing those with Virkyn yet it seemed he had been unable to get much out of them or he wouldn't need to ask of her mission and Nymira. Jade remained unable to move much and while it was more comfortable then it had started out as, it was still irritating to be at his mercy. "Did you not learn anything from the other person like me and their Virkyn?"
Guest or prisoner, it was hard to differentiate between the two as she sat on the throne all buckled in. He was perhaps a fool to "live with danger" but he was a fool that had obviously not been caught, which showed his intelligence as well. She didn't know if the fact that he loved Anora could be considered a weapon, but she chose not to say anything for the moment, not too interested in having something against him for while he had her in his throne device, he didn't have too much to use against her. He knew she had murdered the Rhasic, but proof couldn't be established and she had been imprisoned before and yet she was still alive. "I trust no one and I'm sure you understand why. Surely you trust no one as well, for trust means putting your fate in others hands."
Easy little question? How could such a question be easy? He was asking her to divulge information that shouldn't be known to anyone but the Sanguine themselves. Before she could say just that, Dimitri leaned forward and placed his lips against hers yet again, his hand finding her own hand and entwining his fingers with hers. At this point she wasn't surprised, mostly because Dimitri was the sort of man that did as he pleased and cared little for what others wished. What did surprise her was that this kiss was not brutal kiss but rather a softer kiss that would be shared by enamored lovers.
Jade didn't kiss many people, Dimitri and Austin were the only ones to have kissed Jade, so it confused her a bit and irritated her as well. If Dimitri expected Jade to respond well to his soft kiss then he would be mistaken for Jade didn't feel anything for the dark torturer before her but respect. Jade was a cold woman, many would agree to this just as Jade would agree, she had no delusions about herself. His fingers remained entwined with her own as he pulled back, once again asking to hear about the Sanguine. "My people are a proud clan that seeks to regain something that was stolen from us eras upon eras ago. Our Virkyns are our bondmates, they strengthen and help up with our task." There, that was all she planned on giving. "Are you going to release me any time soon?"

"You can never be caged Lady Alanon I know this, I merely hold you for as long as I am able." He smiled and squeexed her fingers a little more, "I let the other of your kind pass through untroubled, she was quiet, and her quietness threatened me, she walked in a darkness I dared not penetrate." He paused and moved his free hand to stroke the side of her face, "You are more like I, I understand the way your heart beats and your soul thrashes, I can have you bound and not fear what you will do in the future Lady Alanon." He smiled carefully, "I think I can predict your future moves for they are the ones I would make, your sister was more dangerously unpredictable."
He smiled and kept his fingers entwined with hers still as he spoke, a calmness radiated from him now as he questioned the prone assasin, "Tell me of your bond with the Virkyn, and tell me what you seek." He smiled at jade carefully, "I like you Lady Alanon, both physically and mentally I find your attractive, and I have not threatened you so far, and I do not wish to." He paused and smiled before uncoiling his tongue and rolling out some words, "But I beleive you find yourself with a man wanted by the empire restrained carefully with no chance of escape, can we talk freely or will you lokc your little mouth tight now?"

Jade offered Dimitri a not so nice smile as he spoke, he was right to say that she couldn't be caged, but it appeared as though he was trying to do the next best thing. She was unable to move, unable to defend herself should the need arise and she mentally scolded herself for putting herself into this situation. Just how long was he able to hold her and would he keep his word in releasing her. While he was a murderer and torturer, he seemed to be a man of his words. He spoke more on the Sanguine he had met and for a moment, Jade thought he knew whom he was speaking about, but she didn't dare voice it for he might ask her questions about her half Vyssi friend Val.
Jade arched a brow as he compared the two of them, believing that he knew her so well when really, he knew very little about her. "You know what you wish to know of me. You have seen my kill, but that doesn't mean you know me so well." She had to be careful in what she chose to do or she would end up with the apple in her mouth or perhaps worse. "It seems a point of weakness to judge those around you so quickly, I would be careful of that." He surely wouldn't appreciate that, but being a nobleman, he probably wouldn't show his anger.
Her sister? How did he know? Had she mentioned it or had he heard something? No matter, he knew little and hopefully it would stay that way. "Nymira is very unpredictable, that's what makes her good."
He wished to know of her bond, his face the shining example of poise and composure, his fingers remaining entwined with her own. Just because he found her attractive didn't mean that she would share her secrets, other men had found her attractive and she had barely cast them a glance. The onl reason Dimitri had such attention was he had her chained up and had brought her here on threat of death. "If you like me, then why choose to chain me. Because you like to feel the power over those you hold in binds? Does it thrill you to see me chained in such a way?" She had a feeling why he might like to see her bound when he had no reason to torture her. "Am I someone to work with or am I simply a piece of art for you to admire, I think I should know the role I play here."
She thought his question over for a few moments before smiling, a feral sort of smile. "I shall tell you some of the things you wish to hear but I wish to be freed, a way to show that you can trust me as well. I shall tell you about my people and my mission and shall tell you more of Nymira as well." She gave his hand a squeeze and sighed. "What do you say Dimitri, care to take a chance?"

"This is no game of dice Jade...." he no longer adressed her with the title, seeing that as no longer necessary. "This is rather me, your kind and charming host asking you a question." He smiled and removed his hand from hers, that hand moved slowly up her body, casually flowing over her body before stroking the side of her face.
"We will be equals, but at present I need information. I am a public figure, you can find out about me. I need to know about your creature, I need to know of your mission and I will not rest or release you from my protective care until you reveal what I wish to know."
He stood and moved to the side of the chair, casually he ran a finger along the crank that controlled the little helmet, the crank that tightened it.
"Tell me what I want to know Jade, or do you wish to take a chance with me perhaps?"

Jade could see now she had made a mistake in sitting in the chain, this was the mistake of misplaced trust and she could only hope that she lived through it. She glared at the man before her, though she was thankful that he had dropped the foolish title and just simply called her by name. He called himself kind and charming yet he chose to keep her in his trap and hold her there against her will. She sighed as he spoke, feeling like he was speaking to a child rather then a grown woman capable of bloodshed. He stroked the side of her face gently and she didn't move her head, she simply looked up at him, her emerald eyes showing her displeasure.
Equals? How was this made clear when he chose to sit her in the chair. She could see that the trust feth he had fed her had simply been a ploy, he needed answers from her and | |
