Hello Charles, that name is very familiar. I hope you are well, its good to see old faces here still!
Thank you Pyrrus, I have always had fun here

, aside from my many adventures under aliases and Paareth, once ever few months I’ve come back to read a story or two, never really letting myself fully stray away.
All this reading has given me the familiar feeling of wanting to unsheathe Paareth's weapons, now his account is active again. I might even tie him down long enough for a decent adventure or two, hmm but where to start him. If its still the norm i'll PM a few GM's and see whats best for his storyline.
I really need direction on how his skill sets fit in with the new system, I had some from an SGM a few years ago on finances and equipment but I have yet to have any instruction on his expertise or lack thereof under the new system.
He was trained to an advanced level in using two dual blades, weapons of dwarven steel, balanced and crafted for his grip, both weapons having two blades with the grip in the middle. Through constant use and indeed death, the blades almost became part of him, even more so due to a certain evil god blessing them, through a greater spider demon.
The main thing to remember about Paareth, when judging his skill set, is his style was wild and unpredictable, feral in nature and in combat, aside from the fact he never shied from it or its often bloody or tragic consequences.
He also had some training with a small crossbow, daggers and two regular swords, one long and one short. He was a good barterer, not a master by any means but skilled with a silver tongue at times. One of Paareth’s biggest traits, which incidentally was much to Rincewinds annoyance! Is that he often recruits other characters to causes (NPC’s/PC’s), whether that be the beginnings of the Jaded claw, a fully implemented guild like the Stoneguard or certain other, less than obviously spoken guilds. TG and others. I hope you are all well or resting in a deserved peace, TG operatives, like many other lost stoneguard warriors or unseen claw members!
Some ruling on his equipment would be helpful too.
If I remember rightly, previously equipment wise the SGM said the healing water he carried had lost its potency but he still had the containers, his money had gradually reduced I think they said 5,000 but I can't be sure, now it should logically be substantially less. He had the two crossbows, two swords and his two main weapons, his dwarven NPC bodyguards had left him, his spider demon gift, the web firing bracelets were in tact but I can't remember what was ruled about the explosives. If anything I think he would of lost the remainder of his explosives when he attacked the temple of Diana with them.
Other than that all he had was a robust backpack, some tattered leather armour and a necklace of trophies of his victories, all his properties, guild or otherwise had been sold.
I have some pieces of his now ancient history that could do with a few new threads, if fluid time can be bent so much and anyone is interested in the future progression of these concepts:
His trial for the slaughter of the Diana priests and destruction of part of her temple.
His families slaughter at Rincewinds hand.
These would be long in the past but were aspects of the character that were never fully realized, any characters wanting more tangible previous history would be very much thanked if they participated. The same could be said with Paareth's tribal ties, beyond the occasional uprising, which I had always wanted to pursue more deeply.
Well I’ve babbled enough, I’ll pop him in a thread somewhere but remain somewhat ambiguous till someone can help me through the details.
If anyone wants any background on Paareth, a limited amount can be found by searching his name, other questions are welcome!
