Initiate: 3
Apprentice: 3 – 9
Adept: 3 – 9 – 27
Master: 3 – 9 – 27 – Near unlimited
Archmage: 3 – 9 – 27 – Near unlimited – Near unlimited
Note: A mage can cast three spells of his level or more spells of below levels before his Vis is depleted. If the mage tries to cast more, chances that he’ll feel mental pain, faint or endure other effects become very high. However, his Vis restores itself naturally over time, usually in a brightening, with rest and sleep.
Meditation Times:
Initiate: 5-10 Minutes
Apprentice: 1-2 Minutes
Adept: 15-30 Seconds
Master: 5-10 Seconds
Archmage: 1-5 Seconds
Note: Adepts and above don’t need to Meditate if they have a Staff of Arcana, whereas Archmages don’t need to Meditate if they have Evolved. Many mages find that aids like incense, drinks or wands ease the process.
Shaping Times:
Note: After successfully reaching Clara, the mage acquires Mana instantly as time has no meaning in the Astral Plane. However then he still has to shape it into a spell, which costs him additional time back on the Material Plane. The general time it takes to shape a spell might vary by only a few moments in some special cases.
