Stone of Unbinding

An item used primarily for those wishing to become Iconomancers. In Iconomancy, a practitioner of Ikos learns none of the usual techniques of Arcana, which includes the Unbinding technique. Traditionally, an initiate Iconomancer is unbound not by an Ikos Master, but rather by the Master of another arcanic sphere.

To eliminate this go-between, an Ikos Master will take an object of some sort, usually a semiprecious stone (although most any item can be used), and have it imbued with the Unbinding technique by the Master of another arcanic discipline.

To activate the Stone’s power, the one to be Unbound holds it, and would be instructed to focus with the mind on the Stone’s center. If the unbinding is successful, the initiate may experience a transitive state of the mind or some other bend in reality. As there is no single expected experience for unbinding, the unbinding experience is just as varied as the individual.
