[Location] The Righteous Hand Dojo
~*| The Righteous Hand Dojo |*~
Description:
Once a sculpting studio within the holy city of Torek inside the Phoenix District, the Righteous Hand Dojo arose within winter of Era XV PF and opened its doors to the people of Zinn’Sunn. Bought by one Sir Veleraen, a Knight of Aslan, the Righteous Hand dojo welcomed those visitors who sought training with a stone archway in Kemite fashion, and the dojo symbol in the Giant language centered upon its graceful bend.
A gravel and stone path led up a ways to the entrance of the dojo. The front landscaping in front of the building composed mainly of trimmed bushes that rose to an even height around its edges. The dojo itself was higher than normal, its ceilings vaulted and its door frames wide. A large rice paper door marked the entrance, the symbol in the giant language appearing once more upon its surface.

If one was curious to enter, they would come across an enormous room with wooden floors, totaling 3,000 square feet. The floors were lined with mats, exercise equipment and training weapons lining the walls along with a large scroll of parchment that hung at the back of the wall of the dojo itself. It read in large letters in Common:
The Rules of the Righteous Hand Dojo
1. Treat yourself and others with respect.
2. No real weapons are to be used unless directed by the dojo Master.
3. All skills and techniques will be used for self defense and self defense only.
4. Be prepared to work hard.
If one lacks the discipline or patience to fight properly, lessons will cease until a proper work ethic has been attained.
5. Help your fellow warriors if you feel they are falling behind.
Do not turn your back on the person who may save your life one brightening.
6. Weapons used in the dojo are not to be used to intentionally harm the student or the dojo master. If this happens, lessons will cease and a ban from the dojo will be instituted.
7. Religion and politics are left at the door. While this dojo follows the teachings of Aslan, all Aetherian religions shall be respected.
8. No illegal substances are allowed inside the dojo. If you are found possessing drugs or any contraband, a ban from the dojo will be instituted.
9. Ask for help when needed. The dojo master is always there, whether it be to develop one’s skills or a personal matter.
10. Enter this dojo in peace. Those who seek to spread violence with be cast out. |

|
The walls were slatted wooden boards, the ceiling high, supported by thick wooden beams. Located to the left of the main room of the dojo were two extremely large doorways. One led to a storage room and one led to the living quarters of the Dojo Master, Sir Veleraen, Son of Khreytek. Small red and gold coloured banners lined the walls of the dojo intermittently stating praises in both Kemish and Khardran of Aslan and Veleraen’s master, the great Dahar Master, Krel son of Mektor.
Veleraen’s Home
A simple and quaint dwelling for a humble Knight and now dojo Master, the Righteous Hand Dojo was open and accepting students for those who wished to follow in Torek’s teachings. One only had to conquer their fear to realize that nothing was truly out of their reach.

Ponutis, Winter of Era XV
delivered by wizard mail, only into the hands of Sir Veleraen…
Quote:
To the attention of: Sir Veleraen, son of Khreytek
The Righteous Hand Dojo
Torek in the Lylles Kingdom of Lauryl
From the desk of: His Royal Highness, Prince Milo the First
Lord Protector of the Kingdom of Aelyria
The Imperial Palace in the Principality of Prime
Sir Veleraen,
It is my greatest hope that this letter finds you well and your spirits in good stead. And may I say it is both a great relief and a most welcome occurrence to hear from you. I do indeed share the memories that you must have awoken to the same as I on the first brightening of Winter, and had those gifts having been returned, as have others that I have been in contact with. As promised those many months ago, the Ancients have come, and in fact they arrived on that very morning at the docks of Prime. Suffice to say they caused quite a stir with their arrival, I do believe that half the city of Aelyria Prime turned out to witness the event. What transpired afterwards as they spirited myself and others away for a meeting with King Auron was extraordinary and exceeds the imagination, and while the business of this brightening prevents a detailed telling, should I not have the pleasure of seeing you personally before then, I shall write again very soon with the details of that meeting.
I write to give you some news as well, should word not have reached you by now in the city of Torek. It seems that the visions you yourself have experienced have taken shape elsewhere in events both brutal and tragic. The man you describe in the text of your letter, this ‘Wolf of Jorel’, has apparently struck at the Paladins of the Church of the Faith as they stationed themselves in the Sherian to lend their efforts to humanitarian aid for displaced citizens. Their camp come upon without warning, nearly seven hundred were lost with few left behind to tell the tale. A powerful individual wielding two swords and riding a black Pegasus, it was said that he had a woman with him. There was necromancy used in the attack carried out by a horde of undead, and it seemed to witnesses that it was the woman who wielded it. The description of the man as given by survivors seems to make it clear that this is the same as the man in your vision, though he was apparently wounded himself in the attack and now bears acid burns and scars on his face.
I have spoken to His Holiness the Archprelate Llanwyn Siannodel and he is as I write undertaking efforts himself to expose this man and prevent him from striking again. I believe that should you wish to contact him, perhaps your combined efforts might yield great benefits to us all. It is my intention to send an individual to speak with you soon in person should he find you then in Torek. Until then though Sir Veleraen, should you need anything in the way of aid, support or resources to help in your pursuit of this man, it goes without saying that you shall have it. You need only say the word and it shall be done.
Warmest regards,
Milo L’Evienne

Ponutis in the Winter of Era XV
A few brightenings following the delivery of a previous response, an addendum arrived in the hands of an eccentric old mage sporting a raspberry beret, this second letter similarly placed only into the hands of Sir Veleraen himself.

Late Melora, Winter of Era XV
Brought from the Royal Palace in the hands of none other than master Gwygwin himself, a leather tube embossed with the Royal seal arrived containing two letters, one bound in a wide band of black velvet ribbon, the other plain…a scribed copy of the original tied off with a thin strand of leather. Straight into the recipient’s hands and none other’s, and the old wizard was off with a solemn tip of his beret and on to his next destination.
The scroll bound in black ribbon read thusly:
Quote:
To the attention of Sir Veleraen
From the desk of His Royal Highness
Prince Milo I, lord Protector of the Kingdom of Aelyria
Offices of the Crowned Prince in the Royal Palace
Sir Veleraen,
I have only this morning received the letter that you will find accompanying my own, of which this is a scribed copy and the original having been sent to the Royal Judicator's offices. It was fixed to a severed head, which I have turned over to the lord Judicator. The original letter was sealed in wax and depicted a wolf. As to the author of the letter, there is no doubt as to his identity, one Fidelis Meridius, self named Wolf of Jorel.
It bears repeating Sir Veleraen that should you need any additional aid or resources in your search for this man, you need only ask and you shall have it.
With respect,
Milo

As the scroll entered his hands and the sorcerer disappeared from sight, a forbidding shiver writhed up his massive spine, a bad feeling resonating over his form. The casing felt almost as if it were cursed and the Knight's hunch was right.
Opening the letter, his eyes cast themselves upon the parchment and read the attached letters that were given. His eyes dropped silently and slowly closed as a rigid sigh left his lips. The weight upon his shoulders began to grow a little heavier at that very moment as he soaked the threat that had been uttered towards the entire Aelyrian Kingdom.
"Kill a thousand per cycle...If his demands are not met...Kill a close relative of the Prince.." Such tyranny, such aggression could not go unanswered. Fidelis wanted Veleraen to surrender himself to him. He wanted the light to fade and disappear behind the horizon. Veleraen could not ignore such a threat. A thousand people dead in a cycle? That was five thousand a month...He could not let so many suffer because of his pride. It had already been decided as the words were read by his large hazel orbs.
He would confront the Wolf once and for all. Aelyria Prime was the first stop on a journey that would take him to the ends of Telath and back. Blood would be shed and the might of Aslan would be heard around the Kingdom.
Demands were rendered and a challenge was to be issued; fate was to decide who stood and who fell.

40th of Melora, Winter Era I, Era XV PF
News had been given and actions were taken. Veleraen had sold the dojo back to the city and as he walked out the front door, the front yard littered with the little belongings he owned, he hung a 'closed' sign on the front door to the dojo itself.
Many good things had happened in the duration of his business in Zinn'sunn. He'd met Lenara, he had some valuable lessons taught and learned, fought Serion in a spar...It was all memorable to say the least.
Now it was time to turn over a new leaf, a new chapter was to be written. Veleraen's sights were set on Aelyria Prime, the place that had brought him into Knighthood and now it was the place where he took his next step to fulfill his destiny. A missive had been sent by the Prince and the Knight was no fool to ignore such an important letter. A wolf was on the loose and the sheperd had to rally his flock and cast the beast out before it killed everything in sight.
~DOJO IS CLOSED 40th of Melora, Winter Era I, Era XV PF. Thanks for the good memories!~
