Another late darkening, another darkening spent brooding. This is what Su Farong did best. Glower, clench his eyebrows with disapproval, and glare at passersby. If someone gave him some attitude he'd simply flash the ol' rusty dagger and they'd pass on. Su 'Wrong Way' Farong sipped his whiskey (while making sure not to get too tipsy) and was left alone to his thoughts.

He was dressed in bright colors but in a slightly disheveled manner. His silk shirt was untucked, his pants a wee bit baggy. His shirt contained a bright red mustang contrasted upon a black canvas with the word 'stallion' written on the back of it. His bear hat was worn at a rakish angle. He was well dressed according to his own standards which was all that mattered.

He felt a little restless, his stomach churned with nervousness that he had never felt before. Sure, he'd get a little antsy before a job, but not just sitting here in the tavern...alone. Su sighed, he must be getting a tad bit soft, the jagged edge of Zinn'sunn merely wanted someone to talk to, someone to boast to, someone not afraid he'd stab him? Was it too much that Su merely wanted to bat the breeze with someone?

Su resolved to try to talk to the next person. But what do the civilians talk about? Hobbies? What was Su's hobby? What did he enjoy? Well, he sure liked beating up someone once and a while. And also enjoyed a good scam or scheme. Not exactly kite flying is it? Su Farong mulled this over while he finished his whiskey.

Yet another brightening of hunting and unfortunately for the two sisters, they found nothing, so it was a rather frustrating return the the tavern which was alive with business, as it usually was in the evening. Jade entered the tavern that she knew well enough, being that Zinn'Sunn was about strong males and woman that were more subdued, she wasn't always as welcome sight. Holding her staff in her hand tightly, she exuded confidence and strength as she walked inside, she had the aura of a predator. She wore a long dark green dress that hung loosely enough to make it comfortable, her long brown hair framing her elven face.

At Jade's side was her hunting companion and her sister in beast form, a huge wolf like creature with fur that was pitch black, dark brown eyes holding intelligence in them. Nymira had no collar around her neck nor no tether yet she stayed closely at Jade's side, showing the loyalty that was there. Most moved out of her way as she made her way through, not caring to look at those who looked at her, she didn't care if a man fancied her, she wasn't that kind of girl anyway.

She found a seat that suited her and that was high enough that Nymira could curl beneath and rest, her dark eyes peering out from under the table at any man that felt himself brave enough to approach the sisters. Jade had come inside for a drink and a meal, she wasn't big on random conversations and was even less impressed with random meetings where men tried to interest her in a one night stand. She hated being approached by drunk men and had her staff handy in case a drunk approached, a staff was a good tool to establish you dislike of drunks.

She took notice of Su as he sat as she waited for her drink, she was uncertain about it, but he appeared a dangerous sort, just by the way he looked. As a predator, Jade learned to observe her targets closely and while Su wasn't a target, he was a person to watch. She didn't show interest in her gaze, if anything, her emerald eyes were set in a bored glance, disappointed that she and Nymira had come back empty handed.

Su Farong's gaze stopped on Jade and her hunting companion. Now this was not something that he saw every day. He looked in the woman in the green dress' eyes, it reminded him...well reminded him of a rather dashing rogue named Su Farong. Here was a person unafraid, a hunter and survivor like himself. Sure, he didn't have a puppy dog, but he once owned a rather large rat when he was a child.

But she intrigued him- her uniqueness and poise proved irresistible for the Kemite. He was curious what brought such a person to a place like this. And more importantly, what was she and that big ol' hound capable of?

Su Farong got up slowly and purposefully as he felt her eyes watching his moves. Each stride brought the 'Terror of Zinn'Sunn' closer, his hand hovering near his hip where his dagger was strapped. You could never be too careful, once you let down your guard you died. That's what Su Farong learned on the streets...or rather that's what he taught others.

However he did not take up an aggressive stance, only a cautious one. The crowded inn's sound melted away as he gripped an empty chair at Jade's table and slid it back for him to sit in.

"Dis seat taken Miss?" He asked with humor, recognizing the corniness of the line. "Name's Su Farong, I's from around deese parts. But I don't remember ever laying eyes on you." He smiled and looked at the large canine companion. He offered a hand for the creature to smell and to show he meant no harm. "Be hard to forget da two of you. That's fo sure."

Nymira watched Su Farong carefully beneath the table, two pairs of Sanguine eyes followed this man as he stood to his feet, both sisters just knew where he was heading mostly because they had seen interest spark in his gaze. He had seen Nymira take her place beneath the table and hopefully would do well to not step on her feet or tail or he would lose a foot, Nymira didn't take kindly to being kicked. Whether Su Farong was interested in her looks or the fact that she different then the other Kemite women, she couldn't be sure, but he better take heed around her.

The Kemite moved slowly, Jade and Nymira both acting as though they didn't care that he was making his way over, Jade's drink arrived before Su did and she went to sipping at the tea and relaxing a bit, just hoping that this man wouldn't be a babbling twit, she didn't need that at the moment. She took quick notice of the dagger that was strapped to his hip and the fact that his hand hovered near it, a slight growl could be heard beneath the table at the sight, but Nymira did not attack.

The stance the Kemite took was that of a cautious approach, he didn't show any signs of aggression and that might have been what kept the sisters from showing more alarm, being paranoid was often what kept them alive. Jade looked back up at Su Farong when he pulled the empty chair back from the table and took a seat in it, asking a foolish question after he had already taken the seat. "You're sitting on my invisible friend, he doesn't appreciate it." There was no hint of teasing as she took another sip of her tea, she sounded deadpan serious, though the laughter from her sister Nymira was enough to put a tiny smile on Jade's face. She had an odd sense of humor that came out in different ways at different times.

But I don't remember ever laying eyes on you. "Then you haven't been looking hard enough." She set her emerald gaze upon Su Farong and the tiny smile remained on her face. "I am Jade." She watched as he offered his hand to Nymira to smell and could hear her sister through their telepathic connection. "I'd rather bite it off then smell his hand. Why do humans always want me to sniff their hand?"

"I wouldn't do that, my companion is not in the best of moods and I'm sure you need that hand for various things." The slight growl that came from beneath the table would back up Jade's words. "So Su Farong, what brings you to my table? Other then morbid curiousity."

Jade's first comment made Su Farong smile even more. Any opportunity to do the exact opposite of what someone says was a great time in Su's book. He sat down and responded.

"I ain't dat 'eavy, you feel me?" Su traced his lean figure with his right hand for Jade's benefit. His shirt was a bit baggy but underneath was lean, Kemite muscle.

"Nice doggie.." He said a little nervously as he withdrew his hand. Su respected only a few things, animals with sharp teeth was on the top of that short list. He was tempted to pat Jade's companion on the head but decided that he better not.

Su held up a hand and beckoned a nearby server. The woman came over and Su Farong ordered another whiskey. He stretched out a little and slouched in the chair without a care towards proper posture. A sloped grin was fixed on his face at all times.

"Shooooot," Su drawled while he answered. "I'm as curious as a cat, and since I'm so blind and all, figured 'bout time I find out 'bout deese wolves stalking my forest. You know da ol' saying, takes one to know one? I can see the hunt in your eyes 'n I can't help but wonder, what's the prey your after?"

Jade's sarcastic comment did nothing to turn Su Farong away, instead it caused him to smile even more so as he took the seat across from her. Jade didn't really care if Su chose to sit with her or not, it wasn't as though she really needed to pay attention to him and Nymira was enough to scare him away if they felt the need to do so.

He spoke funny, but Jade had come across people that spoke different languages, this wasn't much different, though it was slightly irritating. She looked towards him as she sat back in her chair, inspecting him carefully and trying to size him up as a threat. He didn't seem to have any qualms with chatting up the dangerous looking woman, so perhaps he knew something that she didn't know. His lack of fear only made him more dangerous to her.

Another growl was heard beneath the table as he called her a doggie, she hated that term because it made her seem like she was some common house pet when she was a fierce warrior. "The least he could compare me to was a wolf, being seen as a dog is embarrassing." Jade ignored her sister's whining and smiled as he withdrew his hand, at least he was smart enough to heed a warning rather then continue on stubbornly.

Jade concentrated on her tea as Su ordered himself a whiskey, most likely not his first one from the looks of him. She cared little for how he chose to sit in front of her, his posture bespoke his attitude towards others and he didn't seem to care what other people thought about him.

Jade relaxed in her seat, though her hand rested upon her staff, she was always the cautious sort and having nymira poised beneath the table helped to calm any fears she might happen to have regarding this young Kemite man. She didn't engage the conversation because it hadn't been her who approached Su Farong, if he wanted to speak then he would and she would respond if what came out of his mouth wasn't stupid or annoying. Jade arched a brow at her companion as he spoke, it seemed he had taken notice of her predator nature and wished to inquire about it. Takes one to know one? So Su Farong considered himself a dangerous man as well, how intriguing.

"So you believe yourself a danger, does that mean you pose any danger to me or my companion?" Jade asked this question with a rather bored look in her eyes, though she watched him with amusement in her smile. "As for the prey I seek...I'm not picky." No use divulging a secret to the Kemite when he didn't need to know, he was not Rhasic so he was safe from that murderous quest.

"Well, all depends, see. I ain't here to 'cause no trouble, I jus' here makin' acquaintances, you dig?" Su smiled and leaned back in his chair. "However I am not pissin' in the wind when I tell you that I've had my fair share of scrapes and here I am..." Su traced his angular, Kemite face. "Pretty as ever."

Su Farong looked over Jade for a second wondering what to make of her. She was Ideal for what he was looking for- a free agent that he could hopefully rope into doing some wet work. Su was sure that Jade would not join the Sun Yat Sen, she seemed a loner not looking for a master. But perhaps she has a taste for coin that could suit both their needs. Su needed a competent killer to handle some business- T.T. for all his pluses was still a barely competent fool.

"Here's what I have..." Su scooted closer, not for affection but so he could deny the curious eye. He showed Jade a piece of paper he picked up from the bounty hall.

Secrets :

"I have interests in this beyond collecting a mere payday. I'll gladly spilt the bounty with you upon completion of this task..."

Jade wasn't one to get nervous too quickly, but being paranoid meant viewing anyone as a possible threat, Su Farong would be treated as such until he gave her a reason to trust him. He seemed rather comfortable with himself and didn't mind approaching strangers, no matter how dangerous they might be. She smiled at his confidence, just what did he think she was? Jade was not normally one for idle chit-chat, but seeing as how the Kemite was mildly entertaining and didn't seem to be afraid of her, so why not. "Not the modest sort, are you?"

Nymira and Jade had to wonder just what the young man was after, he hadn't come over to just to talk with her about appearances and such, he was after something. Nymira was careful to watch him, but so long as he didn't step on her or treat her like a stupid animal, she would let his limbs intact. Jade and Nymira looked at one another for a moment before Jade took the piece of paper that he laid on the table. He wanted help with a bounty, how interesting that was.

Secrets :

Wanted dead or alive, well that was interesting. The bounties that called for the hunted to be brought back alive where such bothers anyway. "You're forward, I like that." She set the piece of paper back on the table and took hold of her staff, a smile upon her lips. "I was feeling bored, so long as you split the reward, we will help you with the bounty."

"It's a deal den, eh? Half the bounty for your assistance. Done." Su held out a hand for deal sealing shake. A wide grin formed over his face and he even considered giving the nice doggie a pat or two on the head. Su thought better of it because Jade's canine companion did not seem like a lap dog. Not at all.

"Now here's da rub, I'm gonna need to question him a little bit before we finish off the geezer, you know? After the bird sings the song we dig, we skewer him and roast him over a fire, well not literally, but you catch my drift, no?" Su stopped for a second and considered the skewering part of the plan. Too messy, maybe not. "Don' need a man alive it it ain't call for it, if the money's da same either way. I like to keep tings nice, orderly and above all neat." Su smiled widely.

"Now, if you don' mind me asking, what are your skills so we can start coming up with a plan..."

It wasn't every brightening that Jade was approached about a bounty from some random patron at the tavern, did she have the look of a bounty hunter or was it Nymira that invited the man's interest? Jade had an aura about her that bespoke her violence, and Su had already mentioned how he was much like her, getting into his own fair share of scrapes and such. She nodded as he mentioned the split, she didn't have too much need for money, but it was good to have crowns to spend when she traveled.

Nymira watched the Kemite carefully, she didn't know about him just yet, though she was sure he believed her to be nothing more then a large dog, which irritated her of course. Jade looked at his outstretched hand a moment before taking it and shaking it. "Done," there, now she had something to do that brightening. She smiled a bit as well, relaxing once more as she took a few more sips of her tea. She wasn't sure just when he wished to go after this bounty and there was the chance that there was other hunters as well, which would be something to contend with.

Jade was beginning to like Su, he wasn't the sort that wanted to bring back a live target, it was so complicated dragging a live bounty back to the hall and it was annoying as well. Taking back a head was much easier, though more bloody as well. Jade leaned her chin on her hand and listened, so Su wished to interrogate the target. What did she care? Su could do whatever he wished with the man before they killed him, just so long as she got her cut in the bounty, Jade wasn't one to be cheated. "That is fine, interrogate him all you wish." She smiled and nodded, her violent side showing. "Yes, I quite agree, a head is a lot easier to bring back then a body altogether."

He asked about her skills and she took a moment to think on them before shrugging. "I am quite proficient with my staff and I've various other weapons that will help do the job. Also I have her," Jade gestured to Nymira who looked up in response. "She is good at killing as well I assure you." Jade took another sip and regarded the Kemite evenly. "What of your skills Su Farong?"

Su Farong nodded. Seemed like a good person to have in a scrape. Although Su was sure that the big wolf thing would bite him if he had half a chance.

"Well, you know I can cut a sucker like I's gut a fish you know? Su Farong operates up close and personal, it's daggers for me..." Su smiled and leaned back slightly. "Plus I'm from here, I know the streets like the back of my hand. I won't bother you with stories of my courage or brag 'bout da blood o' my blade. Just know when da **** goes down, Su Farong turns those frowns upside down..." He paused. Did that make sense? "Or something like dat..."

Su Farong finished his drink and threw some coins on the table.

"Now if you don't mind, let's get dis started shall we?" He stood up, stretched and walked for the door. "I think I know where to start out..." Well, he hoped he did.

The one who was known as Su Farong may or may not have known where to start, still he walked towards the door that would lead to the wintery street outside. He would be stopped, however, before he made it to the threshold, by a more than beligerant drunk.

The glazed brown eyes of an older kemite stood in his way, his breath reaking of ale. He was completely without hair, although a thin goatee surrounded his mouth, lightly speckled with gray hair. "Ah HA! You'd be a hounty bunter, then? Couldn't help but overhear, though you seemed concerned with privacy very little!"

"I would be wonderin' who's it is you've gotten the bounty for..." The older kemite stumbled a moment, quickly regaining his balance.

Both Su and Jade could see the man was at least lightly armed; he had a katana tied neatly to a leather belt, and a small crossbow dangled upon the opposite hip. He was dressed in dirty brown garb, which smelled of ale almost as much as his breath. His belt had several pouched of various sizes, each visibly carrying the weight of some unseen object.

The man slapped his own forhead, his eyes widening. "Well, now! I'll be a rude old buzzard! I didn't even inturrduce meself..."

He offered his hand to Su. "Gulan's the game, and bounties is me name!"

He brushed passed Su, walking towards the table in which Jade was still seated. As he passed the younger kemite, he said, "I'll have to be honest with ya, sunny... You are not near as pretty as this one over here." He smiled at Jade as he began speaking to her, "And I'm wonderun why such a pretty little las be lookin for a bounty in the first place...."

OOC: Sooooo sorry for the wait.

Jade had been doing what she could to remain under the radar, she didn't like attracting attention to herself, but it seemed she did because of Nymira and also because of her attitude. It was inevitable that she would be approached by people like Su Farong that could see that she could be of valuable assistance...for a price that is. Jade did nothing for free, not anymore. Nymira didn't like the thought of working with another for a bounty, but he had been the one to introduce it to the pair, so why bother arguing. If anything, Nymira could rip Su Farong to pieces later on after it was all over.

"You do know that pride comes before a very hard fall." She smirked, taunting the man she would be working with wasn't exactly a good idea, but she couldn't help it. He seemed too sure of himself and taking men down a peg or ten was her specialty one could say. He did have a good point, he was from Zinn'sunn, which mean he knew the area better then she had, despite her good memory and such. "No regaling me with how many men you have cut down? How disappointing." She teased as she remained at the table, drinking her tea. "Lead the way."

Before the Su could get outside, a drunk halted him. Jade leaned on her staff as the stinking drunk Kemite found them to be of interest. Nymira inwardly laughed at the display, though the fact that he announced to pretty much everyone that they were bounty hunters was irritating at best. Not that neither of them had really been whispering, the old man had a point there. Nymira came to stand next to Jade, making sure she remained at her sister's side, the drunk seemed harmless enough, but surprises came in different packages, even drunk ones.

Jade and Nymira took careful notice that while he was drunk, he wasn't not completely harmless, he carried a katana and a crossbow with him. Not that he appeared in any shape to use either weapon correctly. Jade said nothing the whole time, just watching the old man make a fool of himself, introducing himself as Gulan. How charming, a drunk bounty hunter...

Jade rested her chin on her hand and tried to look amused as the drunk came her way, he was entering dangerous territory with her. Her eyes narrowed for a moment as he spoke to her before she smiled and slid to her feet elegantly. "I find bounty hunting to be exciting and...enriching." She picked up her staff from it's resting place and tilted her head. "I have to wonder what an old man such as yourself would be into the bounty business as well."
