[Bounty Collection] The Reaper Calls

<--The 1st Brightening in the Month of Pontius, in the Season of Winter, Era I of the Celestine Mandate, Era XV Post Fractum-->

A Remus went on the search for Siegmund Faft, the father who posted a bounty for the man who killed his son and caused the suicide of his wife. Remus motives behind taking on the hunt was more selfish than anything else. He really cared nothing for the father or the dead child and mother. For Remus, the driving force behind his desire to find the murderer was the chance to torture and slowly kill the man before returning to cash in. Doing so would increase the amount of necrotic energy within the corpse and as Remus was the curator of one of the largest cemeteries catering to those considered unfit, for whatever reason, to be buried in Kemite catacombs, he would have final access to the body. He would then be able to use it, unhindered, for all manner of necrotic experiments.

He asked around at the bounty hall for how to find Mr. Faft and once he felt he had a good idea of where to look, Remus had set out to find him. As he made his way through the streets of Zinn'Sunn, Remus couldn't help but think of all the things he would do to his prey upon a successful catch. Of course he would have to keep some of the man's bones intact for certain experiments, and preserving a good amount of blood would also be required. Various extremities however, such as the fingers, toes, and even eyes and tongue, were secondary and could be removed easily; causing excruciating pain and providing more ingredients for future ventures. The body itself would make a good host for all manner of despicable things...Remus brought his mind back to the present task at hand before it got too carried away and continued toward his destination.

Black Waltz is unknown and forgotten
Siegmund Faft
Address: 12th House Chinthe District
Family: Jonas Faft (deceased) Miriam Faft (deceased)
Skills: Level 2 Business management, Level 3 Politics & Law

The receptionist waved her hand towards the contact card, allowing Remus to get a clear view of where it was he was to go. She then turned towards Remus, motioning for him to come closer. "I heard that man wasn't around that particular address anymore. You might find him out and about a shop called Tzchnarr's Emporium. He is a companion of a local vendor nearby the emporium." She then rolled back to her paperwork, dealing with the many other contracts waiting to be filled.

Having decided to follow the receptionist's suggestion, Remus took to looking for the shop called, Tzchnarr's Emporium. His search led him to the Phoenix District. It was a busy place of course with all manner of person making their way in, out and around the various shops and other buildings that made one of the larger districts in the city. He asked a few people if they knew where to find the shop. After a few mixed explanations, Remus finally found a dirt swept road in one of the poorer areas. It was a bit out of the way but he found the half hut, half road stand with blue, gold and red banners hanging outside.

He approached the shop and trailed his gaze over the few tables set up outside with a variety of clay statues laid out upon them. He looked up to see a wooden door frame covered by beads hanging down; serving as a sort of door.

Remus walked toward the entrance and passed through the hanging beads. Inside, he found little light making its way through though it failed to hinder his vision as he looked around. There was a rather large selection of junk filling the place and Remus half pondered returning at some point to pick up a few odds and ends that he may use for later projects.

Finally approaching the back of the shop, Remus came to the counter and regarded the darkly dressed figure behind it. When asked if he could be helped, Remus replied in a voice resembling the soft, dry skin of a snake, "You may help me indeed. I am seeking the one known as, Siegmund Faft. I heard he was a common fixture around here. I feel I may be of service to him if I can find him."

The man behind the desk nodded and as if he expected someone to come here, called over to Siegmund. The old man, seemingly withered of old age and somewhat drenched in agony and depression looked over to Remus. His similar physique didn't encourage Siegmund one bit and he sighed with much sadness. "Yes, what do you want? I'm Siegmund." He tried to make it sound as if nothing was bothering him, but one could clearly see that he was afflicted emotionally. It wouldn't have been a surprise if he were to commit suicide at this point, since both of the closest things to him had previously been slaughtered in brutal murder.

"I hope you're here to take on bounty." he added, turning away from the owner of the Gaijin's Rest. He took a seat and awaited Remus' reply.

Remus could almost taste the anguish that dripped from the man like honey. Although the man, Siegmund, tried to cover his distress, there was no fooling anyone, especially one such as Remus. He mentioned the bounty and then turned his back. Remus narrowed his eyes for a moment and tried not to take it as an insult; telling himself that the human was simply acting out of broken emotion. He didn't want to ruin the whole thing by exploding in rage over a simple slight so he feigned taking a deep breath and fought back his anger.

When Siegmund sat down, Remus threw on his best look of concern and said in a smooth, confident, strengthened voice; not one that fit his aged physical appearance, "Yes, I am here for the bounty. You seek the removal of a monster from this existence and I am here to grant you that wish." Although Remus' motives were selfish, sinister and wholly corrupt, he was indeed telling the truth in his own manner. Siegmund surely wanted death and worse to come to one who destroyed his life and Remus was more than happy to fulfill that desire.

Remus added, "I assure you, the man who did this will plead to the Gods themselves for forgiveness before I am through with him. If you wish to see him before death takes him, I can arrange that as well." Remus thrived on emotions of the fouler sort and thus tried to pull on the strings of those emotions within Siegmund; the desire for revenge and to see the murderer who graced him with evil die horribly.
