Vanderlou is an upstanding Citizen
[Bounty Collection] A Night of Paw and Fang

TS: 4th Cycle of Kalendryas, Era 14

The hunt for the elusive Pantheri had begun and the first step to solving any crime was to go to the scene of the crime - the Inkstorm Tattoos. The instructions were simple enough, capture this Yeeta Al'eika and bring him in alive. And it was a task Vanderlou was confident that he would easily accomplish, provided of course that the Pantheri in question wasn't proficient in any form of self defense in which case thing would get very messy and very fast.

"Serale, is there a Sir Skava Tre'sNagaras in here? I'm looking for that katta that caused trouble here the other brightening," Vanderlou would lift up the card-note, hoping that he would get somebody's attention. "I'm interested in taking up your offer for the bounty of 400 crowns."

Black Waltz is unknown and forgotten
Skava Tre'nagaras was a man of much popularity, marked by the crowd-infested tattoo parlor. People from all corners of Zinn'Sunn, the Keme'Dral, Vermillion Guards, and even the Darui'Torek lined up all in single file to get their custom tattoos forever printed onto their skin. Even foreigners hailing from nearby Lauryllian establishments such as Frigid River and High Peak came here to get a piece of Skava's craftsmanship on their hides. It seemed that if Vanderlou would have courteously waited in line for his turn, it would have taken him quite a while before getting a chance to talk to the master tattooist.

But he didn't, thus getting the attention of many. A barracks guard, attempting to hold in the pain of his tattooist's inkpen, was thrown out of focus because Vanderlou's sudden entrance. He screamed, trudging his arm away from the tattooist's pen, scratching his entire arm on the ink, permanently etching a rather ugly line on his left forearm. The screaming continued as the man wallowed in agony. "Damn you boy!" screamed the disgruntled guard as he immediately left the building, slamming the door behind him. People looked towards Vanderlou with a disappointed expression on their face. Skava, who was busy at the front desk, eyed Vanderlou precariously. "To the back-room with you. Now." ordered Skava, motioning his head towards the red-curtain which hid the world from the area in which Skava conducted his orchestra of color.

As both Vanderlou and Skava entered the back-room, Skava would have closed the red curtain behind them, making sure that nobody would mind his temporary leave. "See these ink vials?" Skava pointed towards a handful of broken containers. "That used to be a collection of the finest inks in all of Aelyria!" One could easily tell that rage was building up inside of Skava, accentuated by his fist pounding the nearby wall. "Get Yeeta for me as quick as possible, and you'll get your 400 crowns." It seemed like a very straight-forward response, although Skava added something a little unexpected afterwards. "By the way...if you're interested in a little more cash, I have something else that needs to be taken care of..."

Vanderlou is an upstanding Citizen
The furious gazes of the tattoo parlors many patrons fell on Vanderlou all at the same time making the fact that he had done something wrong painfully evident to the young half-elf. He would have quickly bowed in apology but Skava's timely interjection forced him to scurry towards the backroom where he was met with a frustrated tatoo parlor owner.

"I just need to get a lead and I can catch this Yeeta for you, do you have any clues as to the katta's current wherabouts? Where he was last spotted? Or where he frequently hangs out?"

The offer for more money was intriguing to say the least. If there was more than just four hundred crowns to be had then the half-elf didn't see what was wrong in hearing out the man's proposal. Besides, if he didn't like Skava's proposal he could just settle with the original job that he came here to accomplish anyway.

"I'm not averse to a bit of danger if the price is right... Although I'd like to know what sort of problem you have in your hands before I get involved, sir."
