Following this week's heat wave in the Northeastern United States, major power relays and failing transformers in Boston experienced a severe outage and service interruption last night at approximately 8:00 pm Eastern Time. Service was restored at around 4:00 am Eastern Time, and subsequent power outages were reported throughout the morning. Play by Post servers were unaffected by these outages, as they were connected to redundant uninterrupted power supplies and had two backup datacenter locations in Texas and Washington State.
